I think you will be OK to be honest iTunes installation files are in the Program Files directory, but all your content and possibly playlists are in the My Music folder which should be part of what is retrieved. It's possible you just need to reinstall iTunes and drag and drop.

Speaking of computers "SanDisk announces 2TB SSD with a whopping performance rate 850MBps at $999.99"

Awww yasssss. In 3-5 yrs when I'm ready for another computer, that will probably be around $3-400

Got the call.

Computers fucked. No hope. No recovery. Lost all my files, data, game data, music. Only have a back up from 2 years ago.

At least nobody saw my porn. Now I get to pay them $30 for telling me that and now I get to pay for another HDD.

i'm so depressed. I encourage all of you to back up your computers regularly.

IF ONLY THERE WERE SOMEWHERE ELSE TO SEE BOOBIES!!!

No really, that sucks about the other 13% of your hard drive though. I don't have much on mine, but I'm sure it'd be a headache to have to start over.

Bummer man. Haven't taken mine in still. Working too much right now.

I might just pull the HD out of the computer and take it in. I think my tower is jacked up from the dickhead movers when I moved. I'll have to take a look at it.

Dude I know your thread is a couple of days old but I hope I caught you in time. I can definitely help you with your problem I wish I would've seen this thread in the beginning because the first piece of advice I would've given you was under no circumstances do you take your computer to Best Buy. They are the worst bunch of underhanded, lying son of a bitches who know nothing about computers I have ever seen in my life. They prey on the people that have no idea what they're talking about and accept their word as gospel. If you have already gotten a new hard drive I hope that you have saved your previous drive because I can guarantee you 100% that I can pull your data off of the old drive. Feel free to PM me whenever you want and I'll see if there's something I can do for you, I know that there's probably a 99% chance that I can and I can get your data back for you. I've been messing with all things electronic specifically computers since I was eight years old (that's not an understatement) I have my own little business in my local area. Even if you don't live near me I know I can still help you

Got another minor problem that's unrelated for you guys.

I'm getting major screen tearing on my monitor, not even just during gaming but during normal internet surfing. I've got

60hz monitor
i7 processor
nvidia gtx 760

I've turned VSYNC to adaptive and tried just "On" but it's still present. What's the fix? I've searched all over the net and can't find an answer.

Depends on what you mean by screen tearing, could you describe it? Your video card could be dying or might need its fan cleaned.

I have a long history with computer problems. I've started believing I'm cursed or something. It always dies when I have my exams going on, and leaves me feeling like a prehistoric caveman with nothing but my textbooks to go on.

Right now, the VGA cable of monitor is damaged. I'm only seeing green & blue everywhere. Green boobies aren't attractive at all.

And yeah, losing data is a painful experience. If it's any comfort, not long ago I lost 20gb worth of music. I was depressed alright.
