Official: Bands/Artists You Are Going To See Thread

Post by ESPImperium »

I tried this in another forum and worked well, just list the bands/artists you're away to see in this thread. Lets see who you are into, there will be a few surprises.

2014:
20th November - Trapt @ Audio Glasgow
4th December - Slash, Miles Kennedy & Conspirators @ Glasgow SSE Hydro

2015:
23rd June - Taylor Swift @ Glasgow SSE Hydro

More to come i am sure.

*Myles.

Second off, dang, I wish this thread was created around late July, where I say the two concerts I was going to.

I don't have any intentions to watch any other bands right now. I mean once you've seen the best band play as good as a show as they were going to play in the form of AB, I just felt like taking a break from watching live concerts.

Hopefully, Rush or Foo Fighters are going to have a show in the LA area in the spring, next year. I'd go if the nosebleed seats are cheap.

I'm headed to see Zoso: The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience, tomorrow. I can't wait to hear some Zep tunes live. Next year I for sure have to see Tremonti and Def Leppard.

There are a few side shows they posted on their tour dates but didn't really announce, so maybe they'll add more.

Now that I have two jobs, I'll hopefully be seeing a lot of concerts. I'm looking at seeing Journey, Papa Roach/Seether, Nickelback, Tremonti, and hopefully Slash/Myles if they stop in SC/NC all within the next year. Could be more depending on which other bands tour close to me.

This is the only one I can claim. (By the way do you know when we're supposed to get our tickets?) I'm not invested enough in many other groups enough to intentionally check their tours on their sites.

I'd be interested in seeing Andy McKee do a show but his tour cities never really come near enough to me.

My new list:

17 November: Megadeath, Lamb Of God, Children of Bodom, Sylosis @ Braehead Arena, Glasgow

2016:
1 February: Carnival of Madness (Black Stone Cherry, Shinedown, Halestorm, Highly Suspect) @ SSE Hydro, Glasgow
28 February: Theory of a Deadman @ O2 ABC, Glasgow

11 March - 13 March: Country To Country (Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Dwight Yoakam, Sam Hunt, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett, Ashley Monroe) @ Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow

Looking out for many, many more in 2016, as so far its looking epic, especially with a AB Arena tour in the Fall of 2016. Also looking to fit in a good old F1 Grand Prix as well, possibly Canada if i can do it right.

Don't get Headstrong and think you can take them on.

Thinking about going to see Nightwish in Budapest in December.

Also I was supposed to go see Apocalyptica, but... eh.

Saw Trapt last night. SUPER SMALL venue. I'm talking around 150 people tops. Dark Before Dawn (or something) and Kellen Heller opened for them. Some pretty energetic performances from everyone even though I was just there for Trapt. The vocalist did a really good job at interacting with the audience. At one point he got a shot and did a toast with the audience with a monologue.

Felt kinda bad for the bands though. Assuming 150 people at $20 a ticket (which is generous because most prob bought them for $15 in advance), that's only $3k. Dark Before Dawn had 4 members, Kellen Heller had 5 I think and Trapt had 4. So that's just over $200 / person before tax assuming it's split equally. Considering they don't play every night, that's really not that great.

Back again, with my new Itinerary for the next 8/9 months:

2016:
24 October: Nickelback W/ Monster Truck - SSE Hydro
14 November: Thomas Rhett W/ Support - O2 ABC
1 December: Alter Bridge W/Vol Beat & Gojira

2017:
10 January: Avenged Sevenfold W/ Disturbed & In Flames - SSE Hydro
10/11/12 March: Country 2 Country (When tickets come available)
16 May: Iron Maiden W/ Shinedown - SSE Hydro

God knows who else I'm gonna see next year as I'm sure its gonna be another busy music year for me.

Going to be a hard choice or two to make early next year. Dokkens original lineup should be touring the states, and George Lynch is amazing. Then there's Metallica and AB both probably touring.

This year I haven't saw many bands live.

I have saw a local rock artist called Fito Paez at Teatro Colonial, Saturday 5th of November
I'll see Black Sabbath at Velez Sarfield (a soccer stadium), next saturday, 26th of November
