Hey, all. New here.
I decided to check out Slash's work with Myles in late 2013 due to surfing on social media. I knew of AB because of WWE and "Metalingus," but that was about it. I recall hearing "Rise Today" on the radio a few times. Once I heard "Back From Cali," I was blown away by Myles' voice. Wow. I was so excited to find that Apocalyptic Love was out there so I had more Myles/Slash to enjoy. I became hooked on AL and decided to go see them live as soon as they toured near by.
I got lucky and SMKC had their own show near me when they were touring with Aerosmith last year in Northfield, OH, so obviously, I wasn't gonna pass it up and splurged on a 3rd row seat in front of Todd. I was blown away. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. So incredibly worth the money. Myles was firing on all cylinders; he had the audience in the palm of his hand. He sang everything so well. Hearing "Not For Me" live was pretty heavy and a great moment; I still get goosebumps when I think back on it. Loved hearing my favorite from AL, "No More Heroes" that night, as well.
Anyway, I've loved SMKC and love World on Fire (seeing them again next month) and finally decided to check out AB this past June because that means more of Myles singing. lol
What took me so long?? AB is amazing!
I wasn't sure how I would receive Fortress because I know Mark is a thrash guy and that's not really my thing, but I went in order with the albums and fell hard for this band within a few days.
The melodies, the lyrics, the vocals, the harmonies, the guitars, Brian's work on the bass, Flip's drumming. All so great.
So glad to have found AB.
