Collective Soul
Just about anything. I have been playing their songs Heavy and Shine like crazy on the guitar.

Jogged to the ReLoad album today. I'm of the unpopular opinion that it and Load get a bad rep. I love attempting to play some of these.

The Man Who Would Be King - Iron Maiden
That instrumental part from 3:57 to 5:10, with one guitar playing power chords, another playing the slide textures, and the third soloing underneath it all is one of my favorite musical pieces ever. If that segment just played on a loop in the background of my life 24/7, I would never be unhappy.

STP - Where the River Runs - Live. Was listening to the album track on repeat earlier today, which is 8 mins of awesome. This is a fantastic live version.

Owl City featuring Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 - Dementia
This seems like such a happy song even though the lyrics speak of a rather serious condition.

Richie Kotzen's Salting Earth album. The 27th album released in 2017 that I have listened to.
So I liked what I heard from the Winery Dogs (the band that has Kotzen, Billy Sheehan, and Mike Portnoy) from their two albums. Sadly, I learned that it may be a long long time before they get back together (since Portnoy and Sheehan has formed a prog metal band called Sons of Apollo) and Kotzen wants to go do more as a solo artist. Let's see how his solo album is. I liked his voice and guitar work from Winery Dogs (it's more of the vein of Chris Cornell-like vocals) so I hope it is more of the same here with some unexpected surprises.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Well, Black Stone Cherry recently released an EP of blues songs covers. I might as well hear it.
Black Stone Cherry's Black to Blues EP.
I also hear that they may have a new album out in 2018. They did a great job with Kentucky so I'm hoping they follow up well on that and not did what they did in the two albums prior to that.

Meytal - Shadow In Disguise
Meytal Cohen has made a name for herself by doing a ton of drum covers on YT (and for being a hot bubbly chick drummer - and a really good drummer for reals) but her first album Alchemy is really really seriously outstanding. The band is so super talented, too. So now whenever I see that she's done a new drum cover, I just get bummed because I wish she were making more original music.

Living Colour's Shade album. The 28th album released in 2017 that I have listened to.
This year is an odd year for me when it comes to listening albums, after a tremendous year in 2016 of listening to enjoyable albums, I find that there are barely any albums in 2017 that comes close to my top five albums in 2016. Maybe Living Colour might be that band that can deliver that sort of album. They are different enough from what I normally listen to.

Only two weeks to go before I embark on seeing Halestorm with Starset and Breaking Benjamin's acoustic show within a three day span. I got a lot of albums left to listen to. Let's start with this.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Poets of the Fall's Carnival of Rust album
Edit: All right, about a day later as of October 8th, going to listen to Halestorm's The Strange Case Of... album.
Hmmmm, four songs in and this album hasn't really aged that well. I mean it's still a fine album with some good fun songs. This album was five years ago as well. I don't even know if Lzzy Hale can sing those tracks well and not look dated five years later from now compared to Myles singing Blackbird songs and ODR songs 10+ years later, but AB songs have typically aged like fine wine.
I still liked Halestorm's self-title a fair amount.
Edit x2: All right, let's close this off and then I can finally move onto Breaking Benjamin.
Halestorm's Into the Wild Life album. Let's see how this one holds up two years later.
Edit x3: Screw it, I'm listening to more Poets of the Fall. I cannot recommend listening to this band enough.
Poets of the Fall's Revolution Roulette album.
