Well, good connections always help and can make the job easier, and, what you would often see in Serbia, if you have good connections it doesn't matter how good/bad you are at what you do :D

Surely you'd be exposed once you actually start doing the job? I get what you mean, I suppose there's levels to it. I mean, reputation travels too, if you're truly bad then that'll get round as well. In any case it's a poor philosophy :lol . I always think standards are important regardless, I know not everyone operates that way and people do get by with less, but personally I like to be good at what I do.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly, but I've seen people who don't adhere to that and don't seem to have any issues. So VC has a point somewhat, at least in my opinion.

zaz will agree with me that in the beginning, who you know is more important than what you can do. That levels off with time, but those connections open a lot of doors at the start.

Sooo, we had a Radiographer start last year and it turned out he couldn't operate the equipment. He lasted less than a week.

zaz will agree with me this is hilariously sad. Hired to operate radiography machines that he can't operate. Why was he hired in the first place?

He was a Locum that had a full registration, he said he could do it but when he turned up he didn't know how to use the image intensifier, and he took the job knowing it was a theatre role. Just saying, BS can only get you so far. I know it's an extreme example but it highlights that contacts alone don't compensate for lack of knowledge.

I was mostly trying to avoid talk about singles to prevent temptation as I want to go into this album blind. I hate when I listen to singles then I just wind up skipping them over and over regardless of how good they are because I want to get to the newer content. I figure we're close enough at this point though.
