I concur.

Anyway. Well, I note that I do not have much to say here, nowadays, so I might as well get this thought off my chest. Do you guys think that I can pull off being in an accountant in a concert promotion company like Live Nation or AEG Live? I've been sitting around not doing much for three months, since finishing college, and thinking about what I want to do in life and I've been thinking about going in that direction for some time now, except I don't know where to start to get there.

I texted Fish today - he's alive. I told him to post to make Shea happy, but he clearly didn't take me seriously...

Do you have a LinkedIn profile, Kev? Basically social media for employment contacts. Look for college professors you had in the accounting field on there, and start browsing through their contacts in the industry. If you want a job with a specific company in a specific field, you'll need to start looking for contacts that have experience in that field.

Yeah, I got a Linkedin profile. I just don't really know how to use it efficiently and use it in a way that does not make me look amateurish (which I am).

Try cold-emailing a few companies you'd wanna work for. If you have some good ideas on improving the business some of them might be inclined to overlook your lack of experience. At least that's the best advice I can offer since we all have to start somewhere and I'm not that familiar with how it works.

Use yer Google, investigate the matter, ask the same question on Quora... Don't just sit idly thinking about it, if that's what you wanna do, go for it!

P.S. Say hi to Tacos, zaz, tell him I miss him. That ought to bring him back :P

The key to employment is networking. That's all there is to it.

I'm horrible at it.

No, it's a part of it. Being good at your job is the other part.
