I watched this morning those 2 hammer challenges with Myles and Mark and had to do it on my own. It's not easy at all, I did it with 6kg dumbbell and managed to do 2 minutes but in big pain last 30 seconds

I was a referee on women's elementary school tournaments while I was in high school. Those girls would beat each other properly, one game finished with 2vs4 after everyone else got 5 fouls

I realize now I did not properly appreciate the sheer genius of this question.

Hey Jim, are we doing Quote of the Year this year?

SHOCKSHOCSHOCKSHOCK.

I would argue it is disrespectful.

When you go to a different country (or not) you usually follow their customs and social norms. To not do so can make you look bad, depending upon the situation.

You dont have to say the pledge, or put your hand over your heart, but I would say at least stand up.

It's basic respect, 101.

Disrespectful to who? To the song? To the flag? To America in general? To the president? To the founding fathers of the US?

"I'll continue to sit. ... I'm going to continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed. To me, this is something that has to change, and when there's significant change — and I feel like that flag represents what it's supposed to represent, and this country is representing people the way it's supposed to — I'll stand."

In my opinion it's only disrespectful to the people who take offense. Change happens when individuals stand up (or sit down, lol) for something and inspire other people. People said Rosa Parks was being disrespectful as well when she didn't accept the norm and didn't want to give up her seat. I know that's a stretch, but people are blowing this national anthem thingy waaay out of proportion as well.

If people want to sit, let them sit. What if someone is handicapped and have a broken leg? Is it disrespectful if they don't stand while people know the fact that the person will be in pain if they stand? In that case, people being offended, that the person is sitting, would be disrespectful themselves.
