Thank you for all the happy wishes! My last day of school was really sweet. Awards night is tonight and graduation is in a couple weeks.

Ghost just announced a huge tour with Mastodon!
Two of my favorite bands, neither of which I've been able to catch live...
Finally, a cannot miss show that's coming to my city.
Lookin' like September 13th will be my first concert since Slayer in 2018!

“Welcome to Rainville”

Rockville has been unique… just sayin! I was evacuated tonight for the third time. I met a man named Jason on my rain soaked path back to my hotel with hundreds of other soaked and sad people! Jason and I realized we had one thing in common. A Song! We sang a duet together as we walked in the rain! This is the duet… :)

Thinking about buying a bulletproof vest to wear around town, but writing on the back: “Courtesy of the Office of Ted Cruz. Call (his number) to get your free bulletproof vest.”

I'm afraid people'd rather take the risk than having to talk to Ted Cruz.

Seriously, is there room there for a burned out ER doc who just wants to ride his bicycle around Flanders, nurse some local beers, and find some peace in the world - or at least among the surrounding provinces?

I'd say yes, you're always welcome. But it comes with a warning that I think that you might be overestimating the average Fleming :D

The Papa Roach song "I Surrender" reminds me of Three Days grace.

It's nice to feel something

Went to see Nothing More last night. Those guys put on such a great show. Weird start though. This was a co-headlining tour with Asking Alexandria, but AA had to drop out a couple weeks ago so it's just been NoMo and the 2 openers. I assumed (and that was my first mistake) that the whole show would start later and NoMo would go on for it's headlining set at the usual 9-9:30 time slot, so I timed it to get there around 8:40 or so. Oh, not so. The first band still started at 6:30, same as if they had 2 co-headliners playing, so NoMo went on at 8:30 and I missed the first song and a half :facepalm

Still, it was a great night and with the entire show ending at 10pm, I was home relatively early. There is so much energy with that band. I'm fully beat up this morning from a banging night in the pit, but it feels really good.

Flying to CA first thing Thursday morning to stay out there for a month. I have a cousin's wedding July 9, but his bachelor party 2 weeks before, and since I'm going out for that, my aunts and uncles told me to fly out early and join them on a family vacation with a few other relatives this weekend. This time last year I was in NJ for 2 weddings and a bachelor party, so same thing, different coast.

edit: holy schnikes, have we ever had nearly a month go by without advancing the page in TR? I know things are slow, but dayummm....

Jumping around the San Francisco area, most of my family lives within an hour and a half of there. Bachelor party will be at Lake Tahoe though and the wedding is in Lemoore (which was the only place named in Top Gun Maverick when students were talking about where they’re from ironically)
