You should make 1 darker. 1 is blended better, but the color scheme on 2 is really good.

Ok, well I tried to take all your advice and darkened the first one. There was no way to do it like the second one without starting again and doing all the brushing so it's not vastly darker but I think it's better. What do you think?

photoshop has millions off plugins that do the same ol boring over exposed or cross process job.. it gets boring after 2 sigs.. unfortunately nowadays the entire board is swarmed with them.. which makes it even more boring..

Fair enough if you don't like the look. I don't use any such plug-ins though, nor do I change the exposure. Obviously I increase the contrast but the colours are achieved solely through brushing and some manipulation of the lighting.
