I can fully appreciate that, my comment wasn't actually meant about your family, I meant it as a general 'kids', not yours. I apologise if that wasn't clear.

That's because it's banter. Banter shouldn't require reprimand, I think the majority of the time it stays within acceptable levels. The only time it would be a problem is when someone doesn't realise it's a joke, which can happen, but it's not a regular occurance on these boards. It's up to you how you guys moderate the forum but an iron rule will never work, people will just leave. I'm not saying that that's how it is here but things have definitely tightened up since the move.

As for the other part, it seems a lot of folks just browse and don't post. We get the feeling, and have been told by some, that they might not want to because of how they think they'll be treated by the few who do post who banter all over. We're trying to keep some of that down so people won't feel this way and they'll become more active.
