Korn was supposed to headline this festival, but JD is having voice problems, so AB and Breaking Benjamin move up. Pointfest started at 3pm. Got to see several bands since there were three stages. Ded, Trustfall, Sick Puppies, Holy White Hounds, Thrice, AB and BB. Liked them all except for Ded... just horrible and muddy.
AB came on at 7:50. They have 55 minutes and Myles isn't talking or telling jokes between songs. The intro tape is "Paddy" the intro from LFA, which of course segues into Come to Life. I had been practicing FTtS with my Sound and Story dvd. I noticed before the 2nd tune, Myles is up by the 12th fret. I elbowed Mrs. Remains and called it... Farther Than The Sun. Love that song live. Rest of set was AtP, Ghost, Achilles, Metalingus, Isolation, Ties, SMaL and Rise Today.
They also did a brief guitar duel. Just one tradeoff between them. The crowd was great. We had free lawn tickets that my cousin had won. So this was the farthest I had ever been from the band (thankfully they had 3 large screens). But it's always great to see the boys either on the rail or a quarter mile away.
