I really think if they didn't want to be dark and brooding, they wouldn't write dark and brooding songs. I think it has less to do with what a certain group of fans want, and more to do with the general feeling in the band. I like both sides of the band.

I was thinking the other day about how this song would make a good acoustic number, so I tried it.

The Other Side sounds immense.

After listening to it a few more times, I love it. My only gripe is that as previously mentioned, it's too loud. I think as a result, the transition from the prechorus to the chorus is almost absent. It's almost like they flow together without an actual transition. I absolutely love the song, thohgh.
