Re: What are you listening to right now?

Chevelle - Straight Jacket Fashion I love the intro. Lyrics meaning more to me at the moment. Been listening to lots of Chevelle this week.

Re: Soundgarden and Chris Cornell

Indeed. I think the only thing keeping me sane the last few days is that I have fellow SG/CC fans who understand this pain. Hell, I met some of them on an online music forum because I used a CC avatar and kindred music souls find each other. Even drove from another state to see SG and CC solo with o...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Hi, friends, joining in. I will try to muffle my sobbing and sniffling. For years when I felt anxious or lonely or depressed, Chris's voice and lyrics made me feel less alone. I can only take a few songs at a time right now :(

Looks like they're planning a tribute of some sort at Rock on the Range tonight.

Re: Soundgarden and Chris Cornell

Nice memories by Nile Rodgers (they were friends; Nile posted a cute birthday wish Chris had sent him not long ago). Now I'm gonna be extra sad we never got a Nile-Chris collaboration.

Re: Soundgarden and Chris Cornell

Well, this is beautiful. Chris sang so many duets and was involved in so many collaborations and projects. What a gem. Nice how he acknowledges the other musicians before he leaves the stage too. I was so interested to see where he took his career next. He's been busy with Soundgarden, Temple of the...

Re: Soundgarden and Chris Cornell

He did Zeppelin covers and interwove Beatles, Zeppelin, etc. into other songs. So many of his songs were reactions to deaths of friends that I wouldn't take anything from the songs or lyrics that night. I'm in the this-doesn't-add-up camp and this article makes more sense to me than earlier speculat...

Same here Ubik :(
Can't even process this yet. So glad for every time I drove crazy lengths to see SG or CC last few years.

Re: My Grandmother's Fight With Cancer

It seems wrong not to let someone know their diagnosis, but I guess that's a hard call to make. I'm glad you had a good Easter with them and hope they're both doing better. Soak up whatever time you have with them - we never really know how much time anyone has left. I never got a chance to know any...

Fresh Tendrils & 4th of July, Soundgarden. Keep repeating that pair, not sure why, some mood I'm in I guess!

Re: Listening to AB in a certain mood...

AB III for a contemplative mood Blackbird for when I need to get myself psyched up in some way. Fortress for road music - I think because the second time I listened to the CD was in the car on a road trip zig zagging through some mountains and it felt like a good soundtrack :) Edit to add - I think ...

I have no idea what happened there, Ryan, but don't take offense, apparently I am truly that bad with names that even in front of me I get them wrong.

I happened to see Myles tweet about this and thought, I know I haven't been keeping up but what on earth have I been missed... Kept thinking they spent too much time on tour with Steel Panther!

Nice interview with Matt in New Zealand. Says nice things about Creed/Alter Bridge/Tremonti/Slash bands as musicians and people.
