Re: The Official DREAM THEATER Thread
I've only had time to listen to it once all the way through but from what I've heard only a few songs stand out and grab me. I'm going to try and get through it again one day soon to give my full opinion.. it's hard to judge it right now. I really liked several songs from the past 2 albums, the only...

Re: Should Scott Stapp form a new band ?
Carl Bell needs to get back into music Would be great if he and Brett could mend the fences According to Kevin (drums) there's no chance. lol I made a comment on one of his FB posts where he was looking for a gig and he pretty much said it's a lost cause. I guess he or his agent tried to reach out ...

Re: Should Scott Stapp form a new band ?
Honestly, if it's him & the Sevendust guys I'll be insanely stoked! Those guys are incredible. Not only that but they have cred with tons of Rock/Metal fans which would help Stapp's reputation if all goes well. If it's not them I would love to see him collaborate with Carl Bell (Fuel) or at leas...

Re: Official lyric video "To Whom It May Concern"
Fixed your link (it was broken)... I thought it was pretty good. Doesn't really make much sense but it's okay for what it is. I would really like to make one for 'Time' but I just haven't had much time (pun intended) to put anything together.

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)
That's the signature Elvis echo. lol It actually enhances the melody though in this case imho.chtimixeur wrote:and the echo on vocals is not something i'm used to hear on a Creed song, whereas it's on every AB song out there

Re: New Creed Documentary Clip
Obviously it would take Scott doing some apologizing to Mark. All the stuff he put him through on the last tour turned him off again but with the relationship with Flip hopefully there will be a way to repair it. If I was Mark I would be extremely cautious too.. it's not like Stapp has a great track...

Re: New Creed Documentary Clip
Well, they've apparently been communicating with each other since they had that random meeting at that Hotel. Hopefully that's a step in the right direction. Take it from me... they haven't been in contact. lol the only contact has been Scott & Flip doing the charity stuff and putting together ...

New Creed Documentary Clip
From Ron Ranew's YouTube channel. I commented on it.. I would encourage those who really want to see the documentary to as well. It's really sad to see just how good of friends they were back then & fast forward to now & they rarely speak.

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)
I would almost guarantee that More Than This won't have all of the vocals. Kinda sounds like the chorus on the preview and there are no vocals over top of it... I hope I'm wrong though.

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)
^That's because "Why" & "Blistered" are from the MOP era.. can tell from the guitar tone & vocals. I agree with Ryan about the acoustic stuff... sounds like they ripped them from videos. Some of are from the Walmart stuff they did & other pro quality acoustic stuff wh...

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)
Social media promotion is great but it's kind of a late start. They should have started pushing it before or when the first couples therapy episode started.

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective'
Yeah, I wouldn't rely on that. lol we would have known already if it's coming out on the 20th. It's kind of a let down because I want to hear the demos but it's also a good thing because they can put more time & effort into it.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for November 20th. The Amazon preorder is still unavailable & with no promotion it's looking like they're delaying it.

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)
@Jared : the choruses are extremely commercial sounding in Tremonti. Trivium have the same issue, and their latest album is not being well received at all by its fans. They're even being called sellouts. If Mark is that serious about metal, he should drop the 4 minute format and challenge himself w...

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)
The hiatus was due to Scott always fighting with Mark on their last tour & making it miserable for him. I can't remember Mark's quotes but Stapp was upset that Mark was doing his solo stuff & a new AB album/tour. Before that there were disagreements on who would produce Creed V or just the n...

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)
I find the music way more commercial sounding and predictable in Tremonti I've never viewed or heard Tremonti's music as commercial. haha Of course there are stand out tracks like "Sympathy" & "The Things I've Seen" that could be universally loved on radio but his stuff is f...
