It's not that simple. You need everybody to have a free window of time, managers, promoters, dates and demand.anguyen92 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 11:26 am Can't they just go ahead and do the simple thing and book the amphitheater tour with either 3 Doors Down or Daughtry?

Re: What are you listening to right now?
New Steven Wilson. This sounds like one of those tunes that people can interpretive dance to. Yep. No further thoughts. Exactly. Thankfully he's releasing a 'mostly instrumental 11 minute hybrid of progressive rock, spiritual jazz and electronica' next week. I think this song is a step in the right...

Re: Modern production sound
I do all of my recordings in REAPER and I use its stock plugins. For the vocals I usually add quite a lot of delay that bounces from the left to right channel and I apply just enough reverb so that the 'dryness' disappears. In order to make them stand out you need a good volume balance between all t...

Re: Modern production sound
I would absolutely double track them if that's not much of a hustle. You can't just copy them over because you get phasing effect.

Re: Modern production sound
There are shitloads of tutorials on YouTube but you should start with double tracking guitars and panning them hard left and right which gives you a solid stereo effect. I guess there should be quite a lot of compression on the drums and the vocals.

Re: November South American Tour 2023
To be fair, in many countries in mainland Europe there is no distinction between Europe and the UK. In English-speaking countries the distinction is present though.

You mean they were programmed? What does it mean they were done in post?Devil Inside You wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 4:17 am The drums were electronic on Higher Power. So if they feel mechanical its because Dango actually didn't even play on it. Scott Stevens or Marti Fredericksen(?) likely did the drums in post.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
I don't know who mixed this, but he did not do a good job: Stapp's vocals are shockingly buried in the mix, and the drums are way too loud (which, as you all know, is also the case with most Elvis Baskette projects). The whole thing is not pleasing for the ears, which is surprising since the 2019 a...

Re: Would you change an AB album in some way?
Are we talking one change per album or per the whole discography? In case of the former: Blackbird: replace 'Break Me Down' with 'New Way To Live' The Last Hero: get rid of 'You Will Be Remembered' Walk the Sky: remove 'The Bitter End' and 'Tear Us Apart' Pawns & Kings: drop "Season of Prom...

I had no idea that Imbruglia's version is a cover:Shortman45 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 4:57 pm Being an Aussie, this Natalie Imbruglia song brought back memories. Great song and Stapp did a pretty good job with it. But I agree, it’s weird hearing him sing it.
