Re: The Official PORCUPINE TREE Thread
Definitely great news, I wasn't expecting it. But I'm disappointed not to see Colin in this (apparently).

Re: The Ides of March
I took a few listens and despite not finding many standout songs, it's an enjoyable album and quite relaxing actually, which is a good thing. Moonshot is pretty great, The Ides of March, Love Rain Down, Worried Mind are fantastic, I can see Myles extending these last two live. On a side note, it's g...

Re: MK II
It's a song for a single. Nothing spectacular but a fun one, it has a happy vibe. I like the guitar work.
Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread
Here's, I believe, part 4 of discussing what's going on in the process of making these albums with Myles featuring World on Fire, The Last Hero, and Year of the Tiger. I presume there will be a part 5 featuring Living the Dream, Walk the Sky, and hopefully, what's to come for the next solo album? h...

Re: Walk The Sky 2.0
You guys do bring up some interesting points. I do respect the band - look at what they did. They went into MASSIVE debt so they could be their own band. They put the work in. But I'm not so musically inclined to be able to tell the differences in "mixes" and such, but according to you gu...

Re: Walk The Sky 2.0
I'm enjoying this new Alice in Chains song featuring Myles Kennedy.
Well... It's a cool, simple song but nothing memorable (it doesn't have to be). At least, it sounds better than WTS and TLH but still overproduced a bit.

Re: Got a band? Post info & updates in here!
https://youtu.be/VEXXYMcKb5g It would be awesome if you guys could check out my debut single. taken from the album that was supposed to come out like three years ago but I never had the time or the guts to finish it up lol. The whole thing comes out on August 28th, gonna post it on here as well. Ma...

Re: Underrated Alter Bridge Appreciation Thread
One Day Remains is a huge favorite of mine, and it’s honestly pretty unique compared to everything else. The pure energy from the first note to the very end is amazing. Some others I think are under appreciated are Buried Alive, All Ends Well, and My Champion. I was actually down on MC when it was ...

Airbag - A Day at the Beach 8.5/10
A nice addition of electronics to their atmospheric sound. It sounds great. Good album, great production.

Re: MK II
The other day, Myles posted a video, on his FB page, playing funk on his guitar. I hope he saved some jazz/funk riffs for the new album.

Re: Poll - Walk the Sky vs A Dying Machine vs Year of the Tiger.
Perhaps there are many who prefer the sound of AB and WTS is more "easy to listen".
I don't disagree that ADM is better than WTS, but I speak for myself, Tremonti sound doesn't do much for me. I would always put the WTS above, even though I voted for YOTT.

Re: RAH RAH 2: How AB Got Its Parallax Back
I think a completely different set would be a lot more interesting and fresh. They would cover more of their songs, the fans would see more rarities and I think everyone would be happy. For me, I think these songs could work well with the orchestra: Burn it Down Shed My Skin Coming Home Wayward One ...

Re: Underrated Alter Bridge Appreciation Thread
I agree that Show me a Sign, The Uninvited and Writing on the Wall are quite underrated, I love them all. I would add Wayward One.
Honestly... most of their songs are underrated.

Re: Alter Bridge 'Walk the Sky' spring US tour 2020
Whether it's a short or a long set, there is no excuse to always choose the same songs for the tours, which is strange when they say they don't like to repeat themselves. The deep cuts are also favorites and they know it. Why don't they play them, too? About the new stuff, I still don't know what th...

I'm sad for Wayward One but it has to be The Last Hero. I would sell a kidney to see both songs live.

Re: Battle Of The Track Numbers: Track 09
I totally agree with Dolo, but at the same time if the band sees a boring crowd, they may well lose their "desire" to play the songs. Mark is, probably right when he says the song has never clicked live for the fans, but how can he be so sure if they only played it a couple of times...? Ma...
