Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

You know you’ve been in the medical field too long when you can take a needle and a lab tube away from young nurses and stick your own self in front of them to show them how it’s done without causing hematomas. Seven times they stuck me today and missed. I look like a drug user from all the holes i...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I feel like I'm setting myself up for failure. In fact, I feel so bad that I think I might just quit music after my show with Six Speed tomorrow. Six Speed anyway is going to be stopping playing live after that show and one show on Thanksgiving because we're sick of playing the same songs in the sa...

The youtube share URL has changed. It is inserting some gibberish after the main ID. Just delete everything from the question mark onwards.

That production is absolutely slammed into the red. The main riff is about as generic as it could possibly be. He's sounding super strong at the top of his range there, though.

Re: What are you listening to right now?

I just finished a 16 song binge of my original songs. Maybe it's weird that I like my music so much. But maybe it's not. I try to write music that I like, after all. https://youtu.be/ie_WhXOELFo I remember Josh Homme saying that he listens to his own music all the time. I used to do it regularly. I...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Being an adult is being told the price of auto insurance and being able to say "oh that's not too bad, let's do it!" I am now the proud owner of a 2009 Hyundai Shitbox (Accent). Finally the years of traveling by shoelace express are behind us. :headbang Hell yeah, that's awesome! Congrats...

Re: August US Tour 2023 with Sevendust and Mammoth WVH Opening

[As for why this is, it's difficult to say. Part of it could be that their US fanbase trends a bit older. There are certainly plenty of younger fans, but I see people in their 60s at these shows as well. Many US fans started following these guys during the Creed days, whereas more of their internat...

Re: That is, if you were born during the first 6 minutes after midnight. If not, I'll hold my well wish 'til you really

You're far from one foot in the grave. :lol I'm just trying to say that it's around that age that a female's looks degrade. So to be 39 yet look like mid to late 20's is impressive indeed. My distinctly average looks have maintained their lack of lustre sufficiently into my late 30s. I guess beauty...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Very true words. I know it will never happen in a million years, but what do you think Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Mammoth WVH, and the rest of the Elvis circle bands would sound like with Nick Raskulinecz as a producer? He produced Halestorm's Back From The Dead , which is one of the most emotional ha...

What are some of the best songs on that album? I like some of his stuff, but am not really motivated to listen to an entire album, as I found his previous one to be quite hit/miss.
Likewise. I just keep myself looking for a few surprises or twists and turns with WVH.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

If you're lucky, people listening won't even realize anything was wrong (unless they're fellow musicians who obsess over how to play/sing, lol). The curse of being a musician like that is that I notice every single mistake that musicians I watch make. I don't know whether the same applies when othe...
