I like it. The 'heavyness' is a good sign if it represents what will be on the album.

But I also think those vocal effects are weird.

^I'm not sure, but I think it is likely due to Scott leaving to do Creed in 2009. Apparently they organised the reunion in late 2008. At that time I think they were about to realise the solo album.
