Re: Any links?
Aw man, I had one of those PRS USB dongles. No idea which show it was, but I'm betting I ripped it to somewhere or another. I do have the live soundboard recording of the Slash/Myles show I went to in 2010, though!

Re: Bucket List
Man, it's hard to think of things I'd want to do that I haven't already done on some level. I started a band, and when that fell apart, I did my own solo acoustic thing (which I've been doing on and off for about 10 years now) and played and sang music in front of real live people. I've lost over 10...

Re: FOO FIGHTERS!
I suggest you listen to it again. It was just as loud as any other album from that era: https://dr.loudness-war.info/?artist=&album=wasting+light It just proves that the whole analog recording is just some marketing BS. If you screw it up during the mixing and mastering phase, you've just waste...

Re: Hypothetical Scenarios - Mark went solo directly after Creed's breakup
I think, in general, it wouldn't have been nearly as well-received as AB or the subsequent Tremonti releases. Mark is a great lyricist, obviously (and that dates back to the Creed days, as he has been confirmed to have written Torn in its entirety and brought it to Scott, which leaves me to assume h...

Re: Performance Videos
And I really haven't been out on the performance thing all that much over the past couple years, but I did finally record a little content for the socials the other night. Just a little living room jam, Wheels by Foo Fighters and Free Fallin' by Tom Petty. :) (Yes, my living room is a jungle. My wif...

Re: Performance Videos
My dad and I are in an acoustic duo called Six Speed. We've been playing together in this form since 2021, but we only started playing a couple of real shows last year (besides open mics and jams). This summer looks like it's gonna be even better. Here's a promo video so you can see what our act is...

Re: Confessions At The Alter
Confession: I still don't own Walk The Sky (or P&K for that matter) on physical media. I was going to pick up WTS at Target when it came out, and the one time I looked for it, there was a slot labeled for it but it was empty, and I just figured I'd get it somewhere else. Turns out, NOBODY [bleep...

Wait, bronies are still around? I thought that was so 2000-and-late? Like, a good 10 years ago.

Re: Pawns & Kings (Alter Bridge - VII)
I think Stay doesn't hit for some because of the lyrical content - at least the way the song opens. You know the song is going to be cheesy as fuck. "Hold your hands up high and throw 'em in the air" for example. A lyric like that to *open* a song from a more hard rock & metal band is...

Re: Namely, me (TB).
So it seems like Twitter is going down the Tubes soon. Would we get a bump in activity here? Interesting thought, never considered that. Maybe a little bit more traffic from the bored clickers. Instead of "I'm bored, let me see what's happening on Twitter" they'll come to TABN instead? Pr...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Tenacious, I love stories like yours. All the ups, downs, and sideways that brought you to the place you are today. I'm turning 40 in a few weeks and find myself back in the Midwest, living just outside of Des Moines, Iowa after being in Massachusetts for almost 16 years. I was digging through my o...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Do you ever stop to consider your life and the choices you've made, wondering where you would be or what you might be doing if you had chosen differently? Doing that today..... Absolutely! I'm 43, married, with 3 stepkids and a bio daughter, and I've thought many times about the butterfly effect go...

She said thanks to you wishing her luck. Please don't follow up with a message saying you don't have a crush on her, lol. I wasn't going to. I just missed my chance to ask if we could catch up sometime. "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. - Wayne Gretzky" - Michael Scott You know ...

Myles' vocal tone through the years
So recently, while I'm at work, I often just turn on YouTube Music and let it play "my supermix," which of course plays a fair amount of Alter Bridge. And something I've noticed now, that I didn't really realize at the time, is how much Myles' voice has changed over the last 7 albums. When...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I will say, it feels like ABIII, Fortress, TLH, all had some sort of overarching theme within the album. WTS was a bit more of "here's a hodgepodge of songs we wrote." But every one of those songs is fantastic!

Re: Hypothetical Scenarios - Sick Myles
I know it's been a minute, but originally, the entire ODR album was demo'd with Mark on vocals, had it all written before Myles came on board. He'd probably need a little bit of practice time in to get them down again, especially with playing and singing at the same time (which he probably didn't d...

Is it errors when you paste it, or when you go to submit the post? I've noticed that, rather than doing a Ctrl-V to paste, sometimes when you right-click you can "paste as plain text" and maybe that would remove any hidden formatting that's hindering the post?

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
Man, in retrospect, Walk The Sky seems to get SO much flack from the AB fanbase for being too poppy, for the production sucking, etc., and I just DON'T get it. I don't like ranking the albums, but I have to put WTS near the top of my list. I can put this album on, and it's just one banger of a song ...
