Re: People who like a band's older material BETTER

Funny you mention Florence and the Machine. I was just listening to Lungs this morning - great album. This don't care for their last two records besides a few select songs.

I almost always like bands' older material. The only band thats an exception, for me, is Sevendust.

I wish they'd pull a Beyonce and drop the album out of nowhere. Like tomorrow.

Re: DMC ft. Myles Kennedy "Flames"

This is a stain on Myles' career. His vocabulary seems to have shrunk to like 8 words.

Re: Your Ultimate Bottom 5 Alter Bridge Songs

The only one for me is Show Me A Sign. To me its just a loud cacophony of harsh noise. The vocal effects and echoes make me want to rip my ears out. And the whole cringe-worthy, "to the darkness I am born" bit. Not a fan. AB has a couple of unremarkable songs - Break Me Down, Breathe Again...

Re: AB V

I would like more songs with cohesive and atmospheric parts like the bridge of Waters Rising. Such a stunning piece of music. One of AB's finest moments. That part reminds me why I love Alter Bridge and Myles so much.

Re: DUST Listener Reviews

Once Dead and Betray Me have a cool vibes. Although too repetitive, I also like Tore My Heart Out. The others were pretty unremarkable. Unable to See intro/outro was such a sore spot for me. If he was a better songwriter, that could have been a special song. The transition from the intro to the vers...

Re: DUST - The Second Part

Building on that, I reckon that the reason the songwriting structure is so often criticised and obvious is that often the individual parts are very clear and distinct. There's no real transition from one part to another, the next part just begins and shifts the feel of the song immediately. EXACTLY...
