I just hope they come out west and do a few shows. Salt Lake City would be optimal, but I'm fine with Cali or Vegas too.

Re: Fortress - The Sound & The Story DVD (fret 12)

Please, for the love of christ do not say "American's say it the other way." American's who speak with incorrect grammar "say it the other way". It is "couldn't care less". If you could care less about something, it implies that you have fewer cares to give and therefo...

Negative - I'm still going with guitar. I've seen a video a few years back of Tremonti jamming w/somebody else...maybe Rusty Cooley...can't remember. Tremonti plays that background lick in the beginning of Calm the Fire almost note for note. I'll look for the vid Do you realize you were replying to...

Re: Fortress - The Sound & The Story DVD (fret 12)

I don't really know who did the keys, maybe Elvis? If you look back at the whiteboard from the recording sessions though, there was a whole section for synth and keys. And he posts cause he's a fan like the rest of us. He's good to keep us up to date with stuff too, especially with Fret12. Well I a...

Re: Fortress - The Sound & The Story DVD (fret 12)

Pretty sure those arent guitars. Yes it is guitar. There are some videos floating around on youtube of Tremonti playing something similar...sounds like a video game theme song. Looks like he finally integrated it into an Alter Bridge song :lol Its keys - not guitar. there are keys all over the plac...

What does everyone do for a living?

I've been curious about this for some time. What does everyone do for a living?

I'll go first - I'm a Captain in the Air Force and I'm a hospital administrator. :headbang

Re: Fortress... A Disappointment?

I really like the album so far, it's much better than ABIII (not hard though, admittedly). The biggest miss for me on this record unfortunately though is Fortress. After reading the song length, i thought we were in for another Blackbird. But the song really over stays its welcome. It's a 4 minute ...

The first time I listened to Calm the Fire I forgot I was listening to Alter Bridge and thought I was listening to an old song by the band Europe lol - especially in the intro and verses. However, the chorus brought me back to reality

Re: The 4th Album - FORTRESS - Discuss The Album Here!

Well, I'm gonna eat some crow. I was worried that this album wouldn't live up to expectations due to all of the "metal" talk. While the album in its entirety is harder than past albums, it's really good in my opinion. There is a lot to soak in as with all Alter Bridge albums, but I'm very ...
