Re: DUST - The Second Part

“Dust is about how it feels to watch a close friend close confidence in you” So I'm guessing something along the lines of Wind-Up giving up on Alter Bridge after they didn't sell millions of ODR albums? Listening to this song I also can't stop relating it to suicide and a buddy of mine who took his...

Re: DUST - The Second Part

I feel like dust isnt really a song I want to hear by itself as a single, but rather as the song at the the end that wraps everything up, which is why I think it was the perfect choice as the album closer. You appreciate it better in the context of the rest of the album. For the lead off single howe...

Re: DUST - The Second Part

It was interesting how closely the dust verse vocal melody followed the guitar part, it reminded me of the 'Hope' verses from AB, except a different progression of notes. Could definitely hear an acoustic guitar prominently

Re: DUST - The Second Part

I don't think that 15 second clip is the chorus, is it? It sounds like a bridge or something. Anyways, I just so happen to have to make a 2 hour drive to Cleveland tomorrow morning.. Octane is definitely going to be on!! Edit: nvm, just checked the lyrics sheet on page 11 Not really all that impress...

Hate to ask a random off topic question but real quick: I thought he only smoked a ton of weed and didn't drink really at all??

Re: DUST - The Second Part

The bridge riff+vocal is definitely the shining part for me. Can't wait to hear the verses of this song and the "white knuckles-ey riff" that awb wrote about in his listening party review

I don't know Wolfe but I get the feeling that the luxuriousness factor isn't that important to him as hanging out with his good buddies. Family has to come first though
