Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

This is not great, at least IMO. AB has always been stronger together with Mark/Myles contributing to each song, and now it seems that all the side projects could actually be harming the band for the first time. I find it interesting that someone here would say that because the general consensus is...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I think the main vocal line stops when he pulls the mic away but there's backing vocals on a tape.

I kind of feel like this is a Myles lead.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I've seen people also complain about the sound of the new Big Wreck album and I can't wrap my head around it. But I'm also not a fan of Tool so I can't compare.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Listened to a lot of early Creed the other day and i enjoy it so much more than the recent AB stuff just cause i love the production on MOP and HC. I could go on and on and on about this, but in short, hell yeah. MOP and HC both have that dynamic kick that all the later AB stuff lacks. I don't know...

Re: Wouldn't You Rather

I mean... I'm not gonna stir up a hornet's nest, but give Tool a chance man, you'll appreciate it a lot more than the likes of Ed Sheeran. I'm not saying that he's a bad musician or perfomer. I just think that the music that he puts out is mostly 'lawsuit-worthy' and pretty terrible. I tried to lis...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Yeah. I'm a little disappointed that there's nothing too high so far, however I love his lower range and want more of that too. And I think he's getting to a point where the higher notes are going to start decreasing. It's harder with age.

Because for a few seconds, Myles actually used his low range. :lol

I think it's more of the tone.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I'll start with something outside of AB. Year of the Tiger. I think it's somewhere out there in the interviews or that video that documents Myles' career on his Official Youtube channel, but Elvis got a Lap Steel Guitar in his studio and thought it would be a good fit for the vibe that Myles was go...

I think I'm in the minority here, but none of their heavier songs have translated well to acoustic.

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

Totally agree with the Anastasia outro. Sometimes, Slash likes to extend the songs too much. Worst is the Wicked Stone outro. Hearing the same chords for 15 minutes its just boring. (Seeing people bowing to it is just meh) :D Sometimes less is more. I like some extensions or improvising but not so ...
