Oof, this is pretty cringe-worthy. Mark just kind of went ham on that solo, haha.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Does the guitar tone in the pre-chorus of Dying Light remind anyone else of the guitar tone on Dust? Brought me right back. Yeah. It's the same starting note on a crunch setting more than a high-gain tone, so it's very similar. Yeah that's it. I thought it might be the same starting note but I'm at...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

If this song came out in 2010, everyone would be going crazy about it. I like the song a lot, but I also feel like at 6 albums in we’ve all been spoiled by so much good songwriting since 2004. Compare this to what bands like Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin have done from 2004 to now, and AB’s level...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I really don’t get the hate for TSoF. It’s one of the better songs on that album. For myself personally, it's just the epitome of all of the problems with the band's puzzle-piece songwriting. To my ears, it doesn't sound like one cohesive piece of music. It instead sounds like the band saying, &quo...

Re: "Walk the Sky" at Target – preorder now!

Sorry AB, but Target hasn't in years and will never see a dime from me since they started encouraging men to use their women's restrooms. You're totally entitled to shop where you want to, and you have every right to your own beliefs, viewpoints, etc., but that is not at all what Target is encourag...

As in, there aren't any b-sides at all for this album cycle? Interesting.

I love vinyl, but it cracks me up when a band like Alter Bridge puts such a digital-sounding album on an analog medium.

Re: Alter Bridge Walk the Sky Tour 2019

If anyone is wondering why the audience is moving, the answer is pretty darn simple: AB doesn't play dance tunes, and their "heavy" songs aren't really the right tempo/groove for mosh pits compared to punk bands or heavier bands like Lamb of God.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

We also got to account for the fact that Year of the Tiger can be perceived as a prequel to AB III since the events that happened on that album caused that general reflection of the themes of lost of faith in AB III and Walk the Sky is the "conclusion" regarding this journey? Just fascina...

The second one of Myles holding the door cracks me up for some reason. And the one of Mark with his hands lifted up. I love these.

Per googly "Even if he claims the opposite with the title of this sixth studio effort, Alter Bridge firmly keeps his feet on the ground. A first distracted listening would even suggest that the quartet did not seek a second to venture beyond a field conquered for ages, reaffirming without the ...

Just "Hey"?

Not, "Hey, tore away the veil of weakness, the enemy now lies beneath us, I think we're safe"?

It's more of a Melody line than a solo. But I can see both sides of that argument. This exactly ^^^^^ its exactly what it sounds like. If its actually a solo its their worst by a mile How is it the worst by a mile? It's a great melody line. Great guitar solos can be simple and effective. It's far m...

I'm not sure how many Sonic Adventure fans are on this board, but who else hears nothing but Crush 40 on this song when the lead comes in at 0:22? I swear I was gonna post this yesterday, but not about that part in the song you referenced. For whatever reason, the solo at the end reminds me of a so...
