Re: Mark & Myles Portrait Paris - France

The second one of Myles holding the door cracks me up for some reason. And the one of Mark with his hands lifted up. I love these.

Re: Alter Bridge - Magazine Covers

Per googly "Even if he claims the opposite with the title of this sixth studio effort, Alter Bridge firmly keeps his feet on the ground. A first distracted listening would even suggest that the quartet did not seek a second to venture beyond a field conquered for ages, reaffirming without the ...

Re: @TSA "I won't be held down any longer, your disgrace and your dishonor..."

Well this is a nice twist. I’m boarding the same plane as Myles as we are entering. Just stated hey. He stated hey back. Not much else. This is the greatest moment in TABN history. Don't kick the back of his seat. Well this is a nice twist. I’m boarding the same plane as Myles as we are entering. J...

Just "Hey"?

Not, "Hey, tore away the veil of weakness, the enemy now lies beneath us, I think we're safe"?

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

It's more of a Melody line than a solo. But I can see both sides of that argument. This exactly ^^^^^ its exactly what it sounds like. If its actually a solo its their worst by a mile How is it the worst by a mile? It's a great melody line. Great guitar solos can be simple and effective. It's far m...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I'm not sure how many Sonic Adventure fans are on this board, but who else hears nothing but Crush 40 on this song when the lead comes in at 0:22? I swear I was gonna post this yesterday, but not about that part in the song you referenced. For whatever reason, the solo at the end reminds me of a so...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Heard new song and the responce is not going to be good I completely disagree, respectfully. This is the most dynamic of the bunch so far in my opinion. It's way more interesting to me than the other tracks, musically speaking. Oh no I agree with both of you. The song is awesome. Another refreshing...

Re: 15th anniversary of One Day Remains

There isn't much more that can be said about ODR which hasn't already been hit on...except a big one: Ben Grosse. Sonically, it's the only album my ears actually feel a hunger for...It's got incredible clarity throughout the high-end brights, the low-end punch, and everything in between. On the oth...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Whilst i agree with that thinking this place is the direct opposite of that. This place is lets find whats wrong and go on and on and on and on about it. That is a false impression, though. The truth is, the male demographic of this forum would unstraighten themselves for thirty minutes with any of...

Re: 15th anniversary of One Day Remains

It’s a great album, but I definitely disagree that it’s natural Alter Bridge. Mark wrote pretty much everything and it still had a lot of that Creed flavor, I’ll agree with that, but it was basically Creed pumped up on super steroids. I love the riffs and guitar work, but the band didn’t really ‘be...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Pearl Jam and Soundgarden have two guitarists. Both bands do plenty of layering with guitar parts, particularly Soundgarden. Outside example but Snarky Puppy has a billion different instruments and extremely complex music, yet perhaps the best production (you can isolate every little thing recorded...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Blackbird, ABIII, Fortress, The Last Hero and Walk the Sky could all sound awesome... one day. I assume the band still has the individual stems for each instrument on various hard drives, and they could hire a talented guy to remix those albums from the start. I'm sure every AB fan who currently sa...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Listened to a lot of early Creed the other day and i enjoy it so much more than the recent AB stuff just cause i love the production on MOP and HC. I could go on and on and on about this, but in short, hell yeah. MOP and HC both have that dynamic kick that all the later AB stuff lacks. I don't know...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Creed is going to sound better because 1 their is only 1 guitarist to mix, and 2 their song structures are basic. I mean if you stuff that up you should retire Breaking Benjamin has used three guitarists and a bassist in their last two albums, and everything sounds great on them. They sacrificed th...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

We like to blame Elvis, but I don’t think he’s the only one to blame if you don’t like how the album sounds. It’s very possible to have a better sounding album and keep all the layering and ‘producer input’. I think it has to do with everything, from the gear used all the way to mastering. I do thi...
