An awesome cover for all of you guitar nerds on here! Tora shreds and plays a few different AB/Tremonti tunes.

Gotta get my ax tuned to drop C and get to work!

Re: Wouldn't You Rather

Is that the charcoal PRS that Mark uses in the video? I noticed its either a new one or he took the Dimebag sticker off, which has been on there seems like forever now.

You guys are crazy. I always want as much music as I can get from them. Let me decide what I do or don't like. Your filler might be my favorite song.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Yeah that cover is great. Probably my favorite, next to Blackbird. Song titles are cool too.

Any guess as to which songs are Myles or Mark from the titles? To me, it kind of looks like the first 7 songs are Myles songs, and the last 7 are Mark.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

What the heck is AB's management thinking? Why would they sit on all of this information while letting it go to print somewhere, thus letting some dude with filthy hands leak it? They should have been first on this. Oh by the way, awesome title and cool cover art. Way way way better than that dumb L...

That's fine by me. Other than the intro, it's a below average song for them.

Re: Poll: What type of song do you want to be the lead single for AB VI?

Why do you think they would only be remembered for a cover song? Even still, would that be better than not being remembered at all? I'd like to think AB are a respected member of the hard rock community. If anyone only remembered them for a cover song it would be people that would have never heard o...

Re: Top 10 AB songs

It's hard to pick, but these are the ones that I listen to most often I guess:

Shed My Skin
Solace
Down To My Last
Before Tomorrow Comes
Buried Alive
I Know It Hurts
Lover
Farther Than The Sun
All Ends Well
Island Of Fools

Re: Poll: What type of song do you want to be the lead single for AB VI?

How about a cover song? It would be nice to see AB get the kind of recognition that Disturbed did with their version of Sound Of Silence. And look at Weezer with their Africa cover. It seems like hard rock is pretty much on life support, and maybe a classic song that people know would help cut throu...

Mark's Clean Tone

If you were disappointed (like I was) when Mark got lazy and just started rolling back the distortion for his clean tones.... well good news! The Fender Twin might be making a comeback, according to this new interview. I hope he brings it back, when he switches from clean to dirty I think it adds mo...

Re: Mark's sound in live recordings

I have seen Mark live 7 times in my life - 3 old Creed, 1 new Creed, and 3 AB. Each time I have seen them play I have had no issues at all with how his guitar sounded. But listening to the last few live CD's, I agree the sound is poor. The best I have ever heard him was back in 2000 at the Mellon Ar...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

Well I will match your pet peeve with MY pet peeve and that is Creed was a kick ass band that a lot of people loved. There wouldn't be an Alter Bridge for any of us here if it wasn't for Creed. Many people here were fans of Mark Tremonti long before AB ever was a thought so you should probably respe...

I really miss how MT would go from real clean tone to distortion in his playing mid song. I wish that was still his style.

ODR is the best, followed by a tie between Blackbird and Fortress, then ABIII and The Last Hero is..... last.

Re: "No more sorrow, now it's gone."

Yeah great song. I remember Eric Friedman likes this song a lot too and wanted to play it on the reunion tour but they never did. If you didn't know about this song, then there are a couple more that fell through the cracks and you might not know about also - Bound and Tied and To Whom It May Concer...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

I wonder what that Gibson is doing back there in those pictures. And it looks like the board has a few written things on it, can't make out the others but I think one says acoustic in the clean guitar section.
