Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread

I forget where I read it exactly but when one of the earlier songs came out (Pay No Mind possibly), I remember stumbling upon some comments on one of the rock focused websites, and someone said something along the lines of... "Myles Kennedy is the best singer to never make me feel anything.&quo...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Speaking as a UK conservative and someone who is more of a Trump fan than the opposite, I can't shake the feeling that Myles had Trump in mind when he wrote this song. Still enjoy it though :) Wow, there are still Trump fans? :headscratch I know I know, no political discussions here, but... well......

Re: Alter Bridge Fall Tour 2019

What I remember about this picture is that every time an interviewer asked Stapp about that photo and how it felt to meet Myles, he acted like he didn't hear the question properly and said how great it was to meet Slash, because he loved the GNR... etc On the other hand, I recall Mark mentioning th...

Cool, man. Hope you didn't think my reply was hostile in any way, that was definitely not my intention. :)

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Onto the song titles, he's really going out of his way to try and shed the christian label huh? lol. Why should he? I mean, he's 45 years old - there's no shaking labels once you get to a certain point in your career, regardless of whether the labels are accurate. Funnily enough, I was a firm athei...

Nice! I listened to the audiobook not too long ago. It's narrated by David Morse, who has a very cool voice.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Like, the entire creation of The Last Hero originated from some sort of Trump campaign run that Myles was watching on TV, and was like: "Well, they're selling another messiah here tonight." lol Got a source for that? I can only remember Myles mentioning that some of the lyrics were inspir...

Don't worry about feeling corny. I really like Mark's minimal style - black jeans, t-shirt, and converse.

Can you make us fearless
These gods of war are endless
Deliver us and mending
These gears of war keep turning

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

The Lyrics to call of the Wild actually annoy me. If you are going to write a song about how technology is killing the music business, don't record an album using electric guitars and mix it in Pro Tools, go do it in Gregorian chants recorded on papyrus Where did you get the idea that the song is s...

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

If you thought the social commentary in 'Writing on the Wall' was a bit cheesy, then you'll enjoy 'Call of the Wild' :lol

It's an aggravation
It's a mystery, so many find their solace in technology
An abomination, it's a new disease
Well the time has come to power down and breathe

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

The orchestra's parts during Brand New Start are so bloody good. Surprised to find that I've listened to that song more than any other. Also, am I right in assuming that you can't purchase this digitally anywhere? I tend to opt for digital versions of books/music/films nowadays, so it would be a blo...

Re: Steve Perry Releases First New Song in Nearly 25 Years

I love the little headbang he does near the end :D

I've got a feeling that he'll do a small tour, and the closest thing we'll get to a Journey reunion will be Neil Schon joining him and his touring band for a song.

Hey all,

Just wanted to check something, will there be a way to purchase the DVD/blu-ray digitally? I tend to go for digital as opposed to the physical item nowadays.

Re: AB VI Speculation

I wrote quite a long list of what I'd kinda like from AB VI and then I basically decided most of it was unimportant and whittled it down to this... All I'd like is for the album to feel/sound like the band, for better or worse, were in a room for a few weeks and just went with where the songs decide...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

Here's a theory about the meaning of Found - In Desolation he says "could be what's lost is never found", followed immediately by an entire song called Found. Maybe it represents a plot twist at the very end, or even a sort of "after credits scene'? Not sure exactly what it would be ...
