Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Someone who’s decent with Audacity should mix that overtop the studio version. Tempo is not perfectly aligned. Studio version keeps a constant BPM and this has several alterations. It's definitely doable but is not just a one-and-done mapping. I wondered about that. Would definitely take a lot more...

Re: AB VI Speculation

My guess is that Slash will tour for the better part of January - March, take a break in April, and start back up again for the May - June festival runs. Wouldn’t surprise me if AB has to join back together around July to finish writing the album. If they finish writing the album sometime in April, ...

Sounds cool, Jared! I knew you weren’t in that photo, but that’s funny they used a stand-in for it. :lol Looking forward to checking out the EP for sure. My Demons kind of has a Collide-era Skillet meets Slipknot vibe going on. I’ll keep my eyes out for some US dates. Put a bug in somebody’s ear for...

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

I agree that Full Circle isn’t a bad record. Besides a couple songs I just can’t really get into, I think it’s really solid from top to bottom. If they released a record using a couple of the unreleased songs you mentioned plus some others that sound more like a modernized spin on their old 90s soun...

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

The problem with Creed in 2018 is that their original music was pretty era-specific. It fit right into that post-grunge niche of the later 90s/early 2000s. No one is making that kind of music (at least on an overly successful level) in 2018. Full Circle was basically some Alter Bridge b-sides with S...

Re: Napalm Records US- Limited Edition Package Royal Albert Hall

Update from Tim on Facebook on this - it’s on the label’s end and they have plenty of real cards. I had the label send me the remaining cards - Not sure what happened but I saw one of these lame cards.. if you got one, hit SUpport@janusmusicmgmt.com with a photo of your card, proof pf perchance and...

I bet they're talking about Shea here.

He’s almost like the COME TO CANADA version of the COME TO BRAZIL army. Except Shea seems to be a one man army for his country.

Re: Fight the Fury

The Slipknot comparison is definitely more All Hope Is Gone era Slipknot, this isn’t Iowa heavy lol. The guitar work does remind me of Psychosocial quite a bit. It’s definitely the heaviest I’ve heard out of a Skillet related project.

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

I wish the video had more graphics from ADM instead of just a bunch of clips from live shows, but oh well lol. Hope the single does well. Not sure how much it’ll stick on a station like Octane. FM radio for modern bands is practically dead anyways, so I wouldn’t mind seeing Make It Hurt as a radio s...

Fight the Fury

http://assets.blabbermouth.net/media/fightthefurybandsept2018_638.jpg Fight the Fury is a new side project featuring John Cooper and Seth Morrison of Skillet. If you’re a fan of Skillet but think they’ve gotten too poppy over the recent years (or if you just like hard rock, which you’re on an Alter...

Re: Chronological Order of Tracks

I don’t really feel like I have much time to devote to a debate on this...but I honestly have no idea how they placed some of those tracks that have no page number references lol. Are they assuming Take You With Me is from the first time Ares sees Stella earlier in the book? I just don’t see it. I f...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I think I have like 6-7 posts to play with here according to my profile stats lol. That reminds me of being emailed yesterday by the same company like 10-15 times for ads. They sent through an apology later that explained their automatic email system sent out the next 2-3 months worth of emails all ...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Classical music where all of the instruments are acoustic without the massive sound of electric guitars and a drum kit piled on top of them isn’t quite as comparable. I personally think the orchestra sounds kinda quiet in some of the heavier S&M songs too because of the nature of electric instru...
