Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

They actually played Monster and Ricochet a ton last year. I also haven’t heard Starset near as much this year compared to last, but I do think it’s the same kind of thing. Octane mostly tends to stick to replaying the newest of the new singles out there. Turbo helps because it plays 90s and 2000s r...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

I hear Tremonti on Octane more often than I’ve ever heard AB (been a subscriber for 4 years now). I’ve only ever heard Isolation, Addicted to Pain, Show Me A Leader, and My Champion on Octane. Their singles get played a handful of times upon release, but they tend to fade off fairly quickly. I’ve he...

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Discussion (SPOILERS)

Lol yeah I think the song is more impactful than the book in that regard. The only rationale for it was that whole sequence showed Stella in so much rage that when Brennan actually was gone, it flipped a switch in her. Being an AI, she behaved much more erratically.

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Discussion (SPOILERS)

The book really doesn’t hit its stride until part two. I thought it was a good read overall. There were enough surprises in it to keep me interested. I had heard Mark mention in an interview before the story came out that the book was about a programmed machine that murders her lover, so that took a...

Re: A Dying Machine - Tour 2018

I would’ve swapped Make It Hurt for Traipse. I like Traipse but it’s not a song I’m itching to hear live.

Great setlist though. Has a lot of really good stuff.

Light The Torch - Calm Before The Storm

This is Howard from Killswitch Engage’s band after his left KSE. I hadn’t really checked these guys out but heard a single on Octane recently. Their most recent album sounds pretty good from what I’ve listened to off of it.

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

I always thought the Series One seemed like a nice amp. Never had the chance to try one of those in person.

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

I called Sweetwater today and the guy who’s my sales rep said I should try swapping some tubes first. If that doesn’t fix it, I can send it in for them to look at. He suggested starting with preamp tubes. You have a decent thought about the power tubes. I’ll hold off on ordering those for now to sav...

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

My gut feeling (and hope) is a bad preamp tube because I can swap that out easily enough. If it’s something more internal like a bad capacitor or a loose connection somewhere in the circuit board, I’ll have to send it back in.

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

I do get a severely large volume drop, but it’s inconsistent. The channel either works as it’s supposed to or it doesn’t work at all. I’m not cranking the amp but I don’t have it on whisper level volumes either. I checked the bias on the power tubes which measured slightly high, so I lowered that do...

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

I haven’t messed with tube amps all that much so I have a troubleshooting question. My MT15 has been acting up on the lead channel. The output signal is either all-on, working completely fine, or practically all-off, with just a little bit of sound cutting through. I have no issues on the clean chan...

To be honest no, most of my 3.5k posts here have been about peanut butter.

It was totally uncalled for, but don’t take it personally. The lion doesn’t concern himself over the opinions of a sheep.
