Re: A Dying Machine Novel Pre-order/Discussion Thread

I’ve seen like 10-15 people on Facebook in Europe receive 2 books by mistake lol

I’ve got 100 pages left to read, but I thought about this when I read the chapter that mentions traipsing through the woods. :lol

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Pre-order/Discussion Thread

It was probably a whole lot easier for Mark to sign all the cards and for the publisher to insert them into the books rather than to have all the books delivered to Mark (or Mark to go to the printers) to sign the real things. This way was probably a lot faster for delivery, too. If...IF...Mark eve...

Sometimes I wonder if Macca is really Conor McGregor and he’s not on here much anymore because he got famous.

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Pre-order/Discussion Thread

Yeah it’s a super standard size lol Small pet peeve, but I would’ve preferred they just autographed the inside of the book. That’s usually where authors sign. Not really complaining though, the card is kinda cool to have as an extra. I just wondered why they printed those instead of just signing the...

Re: AB VI Speculation

I’d be completely fine with a spring 2020 release if they spent more time in the studio on this one. I know they didn’t spend much more time in the studio for Fortress compared to The Last Hero, so time doesn’t always mean the quality is better or worse. But I remember seeing in the Making of Blackb...

I think he played for Eye Empire. They had some good stuff so I’d imagine he can play the songs well enough.

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

I don't find this performance great and I'm open about it. What I actually find annoying, are the fans who swallow everything the band puts out without any word of criticism. 'This is one of the best rock bands' is a justification for Myles being sloppy? I think it's quite telling that long time fa...

Re: Chronological Order of Tracks

Now that some forum users have received their copy of the Mark Tremonti/John Shirley novel, I was wondering if the novel provides a better idea of what order the songs should be in to tell a story. I haven't gotten around to ordering the novel yet, but I wanted to get a clearer idea of the underlyi...

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Pre-order/Discussion Thread

I haven’t started mine yet. I’m halfway through another book right now so I’m not sure if I’ll take a break on that book to read A Dying Machine now or if I’ll wait until I’m not currently reading something else. It’s only 300 pages so I might take a break to read through it relatively quickly.

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Cool to see some more positive responses haha! No problems hearing the bass here with my (cheap) 2.1 computer speakers. Can hear every note BMarsh plays, maybe a bit too much even. But that's always the problem with my speaker set and why I usually just use my headphones when listening music. Yeah ...

Re: Video Game Bonanza!

One of my friends is a huge Battlefield fan, so I played Battlefield 1 with him for a while when it first came out. I guess I didn’t mind the pacing of the game because I was so tired of the CoD style shooters of spawning in, getting a few kills and then dying relatively quickly, spawning back in, r...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Those waveforms are pretty interesting when you see the visual breakdown. I could hear Brian pretty well, but I didn’t think too much about it because I have my sub turned up compared to other speakers. Maybe we need to start an #AndJusticeForBrian hashtag...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

The problem with that, Andy, is that we live in a world where everyone expects to hear clear, crisp, perfect sound with nothing more than a decent computer or mobile phone. No one wants to spend more money to attain that sort of sound. They feel like they shouldn't have to do that to hear every nua...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Just finished with the bluray. The sound is fantastic with the right setup. Im using Sonos beam, sub and two One's as surround and i couldnt be happier. Alright, its an 1600$+ setup but it sound amazing. One thing - the sound from the orchestra comes from the surround speakers in an 5.1 configurati...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

That’s odd for such a small item. Wouldn’t think UPS would have required a signature for a DVD and you may have missed them. They usually put a notice on your door when they fail to deliver too...but try calling your local UPS store tomorrow. If you have a tracking number, they should be able to sor...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

I got my copy in the mail today and watched it this evening. It’s easily their best live DVD imo. Not just the orchestra, but the set list is superb (although I would’ve swapped in Isolation for Writing on the Wall, but that’s a small gripe). The orchestra works better for some songs than others, bu...

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Pre-order/Discussion Thread

As the books start to be shipped out, I would ask that everyone try to keep their thoughts on the actual content of the novel confined to this thread. Sucks to run across book spoilers in random places.
