Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Those who watched the dvd/blu-ray with a surround system, does anyone feels that the sound of the orchestra in Blackbird is a bit low, for the most part? I mean, the arrangements in this song are smoother but, for example, the instrumental part right after the second chorus, i hear better the crowd...

Re: Myles Kennedy is confused

I don’t even disagree with all of your political views though. I didn’t vote for Trump and I don’t plan to in 2020. I just didn’t like the language you used, that’s all. My comment wasn’t meant to be interpreted as, “because you used this language all of your political views are invalid.” My point i...

They’re one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen, no joke. Seen them twice so far. Would love to see a headlining show some day.

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Circle followed by Arise was always one of my favorite album closer combos. Uncle Bobby was a hidden track back on release but I think Spotify just tacks it on at the end, so that’s why I consider Arise the official closer. Arise is definitely my favorite, but I have the awesome bonus track “Break ...

Re: Myles Kennedy is confused

Using phrases like “that’s gay” and “you’re retarded” are phrases you hear out of teenagers. You can say it’s not a big deal all you want, but those aren’t what I consider to be mature statements from an adult.

Re: Myles Kennedy is confused

You may be passionate about your political views, Monty, but you lose a lot of merit when you use autism and retardation as insults.

Same goes for nagpo. Don’t use mental illness as a joke to further your stupid argument.

Ah well that’s cool. I really only listen in my car and I’m on Octane more often. But I’m glad they do at least play some older AB on Turbo.

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

They actually played Monster and Ricochet a ton last year. I also haven’t heard Starset near as much this year compared to last, but I do think it’s the same kind of thing. Octane mostly tends to stick to replaying the newest of the new singles out there. Turbo helps because it plays 90s and 2000s r...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

I hear Tremonti on Octane more often than I’ve ever heard AB (been a subscriber for 4 years now). I’ve only ever heard Isolation, Addicted to Pain, Show Me A Leader, and My Champion on Octane. Their singles get played a handful of times upon release, but they tend to fade off fairly quickly. I’ve he...

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Discussion (SPOILERS)

Lol yeah I think the song is more impactful than the book in that regard. The only rationale for it was that whole sequence showed Stella in so much rage that when Brennan actually was gone, it flipped a switch in her. Being an AI, she behaved much more erratically.

Re: A Dying Machine Novel Discussion (SPOILERS)

The book really doesn’t hit its stride until part two. I thought it was a good read overall. There were enough surprises in it to keep me interested. I had heard Mark mention in an interview before the story came out that the book was about a programmed machine that murders her lover, so that took a...

Re: A Dying Machine - Tour 2018

I would’ve swapped Make It Hurt for Traipse. I like Traipse but it’s not a song I’m itching to hear live.

Great setlist though. Has a lot of really good stuff.

Light The Torch - Calm Before The Storm

This is Howard from Killswitch Engage’s band after his left KSE. I hadn’t really checked these guys out but heard a single on Octane recently. Their most recent album sounds pretty good from what I’ve listened to off of it.
