Re: What are you listening to right now?

The new Steve Perry album, Traces.

Very nice. Very very soft album, but that's fine. He still has such a beautiful voice, and it recalls 40+ years of amazing music. So glad to hear something from The Voice once again.

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Yeah, that's really beautiful. Wonder what Simon Dobson and Parallax would have to do in order to release an orchestra-only recording of the event. I'm sure labels and lawyers and publishing rights would get in the way and screw up something so potentially amazing, but I'd love to be able to hear th...

Re: AB VI Speculation

I just hope that our worst fears are not realized when they do get together in Spring of next year and both Mark and Myles goes, "I got nothing." As much as I really love another AB album next year and keep that an album every three years mentality going, I would love it even better if AB...

Fantastic. Bradley Cooper is very surprisingly good. Lady Gaga is simply incredible.

Re: Soundgarden and Chris Cornell

Some of us have been watching these guys review hard rock/metal bands on other threads. Jesus Christ Pose was a terrible first suggestion for them to hear but I'm glad they gave SG another shot. Fun to watch them discover the brilliance that is Outshined: https://youtu.be/u0nc3Lx_h8E If they were i...

Re: Like A Storm

I'm really enjoying Catacombs. I remember meeting LAS when they were pretty new and on their first US tour opening for AB. It's been fun listening to these guys progress and mature with their sound over their career.

I love the ideal. I despise the reality.

I can't think of a time I've been more disgusted and depressed at the state of this country.

"I think <insert working title> will be my favorite on the album!

Main wish - proper Board updates. None of this cutting off the working titles heresy. Absolutely. Plus it deprives us of literally pages and pages of absolutely random speculation that a particular working title predicts that a song will have a dreamy moody vibe with prog elements versus a heavy vi...

Re: What are you watching right now?

Do it. It's only like 20 episodes or so, and then I watched the 3 minute interviews with the director to explain each of the S2 episodes, which actually helped a bit, so it's pretty easy to catch up. I bought the book and just started it a couple nights ago. I'm really not a SciFi reader, but it wil...

One post per question, please, Andy.

But the weather...zaz asked you how the weather is? Really...how is it? Any lingering effects from the hurricane? Do you agree that the increased intensity and occurrences of hurricanes/typhoons is related to climate change? How much of climate change is attributable to humans? What, if anything, sh...

Dead weight here

I hadn’t listened to Mark’s interviews about the book so that does help some. I had forgotten about that first conversation between Stella and Rhapsody, and that does fit with the theme of As The Silence Becomes Me. Trust being between Ares and Stella was also an idea I played around with, I just c...

Re: What are you watching right now?

A friend lured me in to watching The Man In The High Castle on Amazon. It's based (loosely) on a Phillip K Dick novel in which the Axis won WW2. I was a big reach in the first place to forget history and willingly go along with the story, but the opening sequence is so surprising and shocking and ch...
