Re: Top 10 Favorite Vocalists/Singers of all time?

^^ Jonny Hawkins is so good as a frontman that I think he gets overlooked as a singer. I love his tone and he has crazy good range and dynamics. Nothing More has become just about my favorite live act these days.

Re: Pawns & Kings (Alter Bridge - VII)

I like Stay and Holiday just as much as when I first heard them, which is not very much at all. But about all of the rest of the P&K has gotten better for me, so there's that. But I'm with Schulzy above...those first 4 records. There was something so organic and sincere and passionate and brilli...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

So this is pretty amazing Eruption - Nina Digregorio (note this awesome last name, too ;) ) https://youtu.be/ec1ShmQHMQc In the description she explains she had to create a new violin and learn some new techniques just to play this song, so she did. It's a super cool read. Muscians really have amazi...

Except when it isn't

Well, Bruce's song was a pretty obscure little known entry in the annals of the rock genre, so you're forgiven. Considering what the rest of your post says, I am not sure whether you mean this sarcastically or not. I genuinely did not know back then about the Bruce Springsteen song. But as long as ...

Re: The Official HALESTORM Thread

Personally, the last album had way too much Lzzy screaming. It was too homogenous and didn't have the range in either the songwriting or tone that they have excelled in. I hope the next one offers a lot wider dynamic.

https://youtu.be/e1WflcC9msU Really nice work, Max and crumbso. Congrats!! Thanks! Song title rings a bell tho... When I came up with the title back in 2018, I was not aware that Bruce Springsteen had a song of the same name. Well, Bruce's song was a pretty obscure little known entry in the annals ...

Something Else I Wish I'd Learned In College

Apparently the answer to this question is "Cry about it for three years". It's been exactly three years since I admitted to myself that I was in love with Addison. Somehow, even after having four more crushes in the meantime, I'm still not over her. Today is gonna consist of a lot of sad ...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

I've been listening to a lot of Ad Infinitum lately as they will be opening for Kamelot on their upcoming tour, and damn I wish I'd been listening to this band from the start. Fantastic music (much of which sounds a lot like Walk the Sky-style AB), melodies, and songwriting. Adrian Thessenvitz is pl...

House On Sand

It took about 15 seconds to love the new NM song. What a follow up to the first single, If It Doesn't Hurt. Those guys never disappoint.

Jedna koza pro každého muže a žena

My daughter got accepted to a business law internship in Prague this summer, so I've been doing Czech on Duolingo with the thought that I can parlay this into a cool summer vacation for the wife and me to check (see that?) in on her and drink a lot of Staropramen. As you can see above, I'm pretty m...

zazthespaz wrote: Thu Feb 29, 2024 2:47 pm That's fair. I hadn't watched the video and was projecting a possible plan more than what they were doing I guess. They really need to be using Creed's name and it's member's names in their posts to leverage the Creed reunion for a larger presence on the web.

No, I don't think you did.

Maybe Creed's (2nd re-)union is being viewed as a more feasible marketing point now that AB has a few more years & albums under their belt and that's why they're promoting on the socials more? When Creed reunited in 2010, AB only had 2 albums out and wasn't as well established in the rock commu...
