Re: The Disney+ Thread

I had forgotten that the Pirates of the Caribbean movies were made by Disney (I mean, duh... look at the name) till I was out at a pet store tonight, and there were some Captain Jack and Black Pearl figures for fish tanks and I noticed the "Disney" on the tag. I'm kind of stoked to rewatc...

Pretty sure those are your spies outside my window right now...

Oh, Ub. I need more time for a list like that. Btw, noticed one glaring omission from your list. Did you like Blade Runner 2049? Loved it, makes my top 10 I'd imagine. Tough competition! I've almost certainly forgotten a few as well, but those were the ones that sprang immediately to mind, which is...

Re: What are you watching right now?

S4 of The Man In The High Castle is out now. I'm thorough 4 episodes so far. The story line in the TV show is far beyond the end of the novel by now, so this is all new stuff, but they're doing an interesting job with it to this point. Good stuff.

Re: Walk the Sky Europe 2019 Tour w/ Shinedown, Sevendust (UK), and the Raven Age (non-UK)

Yeah it is funny when bands have opposite popularity in Europe vs. the US. Europe has it right, IMO. Shinedown's music is so boring compared to AB's. Their first two albums were great; after that they've done nothing interesting. So I made it to Finland. Crows on a wire + Dying light + Brent lost h...

Re: Walk the Sky summer 2020 Europe tour

Yup. Rumor is they're waiting until the current Euro tour ends. I suppose that makes theoretical sense marketing-wise, but in reality, how many Alter Bridge fans won't buy a ticket to see them headline right now because they were listed on the Download schedule already? I'd estimate something around...

Re: Indoctrination. Brings you to the end, until you love again.

Losing Patience was doomed from the start, for me. The "swarm of bees" opening, filtered verse sounds with the word "telephone" in it (I don't know why, but any song that uses the word "phone" sounds too weird for me, probably because it just feels very generational), ...

The decade? So 2010-2019? Geez. Journey's End is on there for me for sure. When did Rudderless come out? Ugh. This will take some thought.

Been there, done that with the login expiration. Here's another solution if find you've been timed out after you hit submit...just click the back arrow on your browser. It will take you back to your edit page so you can copy your post, then you can just paste it after you log back in.

Re: Alter Bridge 'Walk the Sky' spring US tour 2020

Wow, $71 for GA/pit in LA?? Damn, that's steep for an AB show. It's just $36 here in Denver. Well, good for them (and the promoter) if they can sell out at that price. I hope they do.

T2b or not T2b...

Saw the new Terminator yesterday. It's kind of forced and often cheesy even if you are already willing to cut it slack for being a new Terminator movie. It was pretty entertaining for me, but I think it's past time to let the franchise end, though it's sure set up for a T2 redux if they want. And, u...

Sometimes, when you're right there, you forget

Well, this is dandy. My landlord told us that they got to replace an old internet modem so now we're wifi-less for 1-2 days and I'm on a personal hotspot now. I kinda wish they told us a day earlier or start it on Monday so that I can plan better. Now I don't know what else I can do for the next 7 ...

Weird. You can usually change your vote just by clicking on the preferred button, but I can see that's not available. Maybe that's an option in the OP settings when creating the poll?

Re: Alter Bridge 'Walk the Sky' spring US tour 2020

I woke up to the news (as well as an unsuspected snowfall) this morning. First thing I did was share the FB post on the Ao12 Denver FB page, and the second thing I did was sign up to get Feb17 and 18 off work.

If anyone traveling here needs a place to crash, hit me up.

As far as the Elvis albums, I’d to agree that AB III is probably the best.

I totally agree with ODR overall, but Blackbird sounds cleaner than ABIII to me.

Re: Walk The Sky Intricacies

Now, someone on YouTube asked if they think this song would work well as a James Bond theme. At this moment in time, I can't for sure say that it would. However, ironically, I thought that The Last Hero worked well as a Bond theme, and inserted that into Casino Royale's opening credits. Though it d...

Giving serious thought to that Sweden show. We have great friends near Stockholm so we could go visit for Midsummer and then see my 2 favorite bands playing together a few days later...oh my.

I'm glad Coming Home got a vote. I really like that song and I'm sad it gets dissed so much. It might be #2 for me in this round. Still Remains is a great song, too, but Metalingus gets my vote this round.
