Re: Creed getting back together in 2020?

Tremonti can be a band as long as Mark is in it. I love Erock and GW, but it’s Mark’s solo project at the end of the day. I sort of agree. I'm a fan of a band's original line-up staying intact. One of the many reasons I admire AB. I also admire Coldplay and... I'm sure there are others haha. It's s...

Re: Creed getting back together in 2020?

It's still a leap to assume they won't continue though...I haven't seen anyone make any sort of statement on the band, and it's not like it's unusual for bands to have lineup changes. I'm not really assuming anything - just speculating. I think they'll continue - just maybe not until 2021/2022. Aga...

Re: Creed getting back together in 2020?

I think with a fractured Tremonti band and the want/need for a band that pays more, Creed will be back in 2020. I also think a new album will be involved only because Tremonti said that they basically have a complete album written already. Myles will be with Slash and Mark can't sit still for more t...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Can you please provide evidence that Myles has not donated or contributed to philanthropic causes that he believes in? I never said he hasn't donated. I'm sure he has. Just because a musician writes lyrics that don't fit your narrative or specific ideology doesn't mean that the musician should stra...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I always assumed Myles was left wing (though unwilling to say so in interviews) given songs like "Waters rising", "Bleed it Dry", & "Writing on the wall" criticizing climate change and doubters, the anti-racist message of "Calm the Fire", coming out as an...

Not when he signed with the Orioles (or got traded - I can't remember). He's terrible now - which sort of lessens the analogy, but I think the message still holds up.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Melody police here: The song is solid. Better than SMAL. Not a lot of melodic hooks - but, then again, AB tends to lean more toward dynamic hooks rather than melodic hooks - especially over the last 2 albums. What made ODR, BB, and ABIII so great was that they had both. Even MT will tell you, as alw...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

From everything I've read so far I've got a really strong sense that this album is going to end up making me cry. I'm going through a lot of heavy shit right now and just by the brief descriptions that I've read about this album being the answer to AB III and being a more positive uplifting album I...

Re: AB VI Speculation

Well, as ABIII is my personal alltime favourite album I for sure would like them to reach back to that dark atmosphere, perhaps combined with a little Fortress energy and production. Will be wishfull thinking I think.......... I've had this long held theory that ABIII is sort of the brainchild of C...

I thought Brian was playing bass. I could be wrong - someone's going to have to dig that up. But yeah, I do remember it being released as Alter Bridge.

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

the ab vs creed $%@& is stupid. Right. Cause it's not even close. Creed>>>>> AB. I think I likes marks and myles latest solo stuff more than the last AB album actually. This goes back to my 'have only 1 project' theory. That one project will be amazing and less diluted. But I think 9 years is a...

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

Any Creed singers that are poison to work with? No, I can't think of any. "I wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for Creed." "I appreciate everything we did with it." -MT "Creed has sold over 28 million records in the United States,[5] over 53 million albums worldwide,[...

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

Or just take the time on the AB album.... ;) we've had enough of those nope /captain obvious flies away I have to agree with the former. AB has 5 records now and like 200 live DVDs. There's nothing obvious about AB not needing a break. They can "take their time on the next AB album" after...

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

I read a recent interview of Mark saying that Creed would reunite if people wanted it badly enough. Has anyone else noticed the strategy that Mark is using here when asserting these points? 1) The window is open - translation - convince me, Stapp. 2) If people want it badly enough - translation - if...
