Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
If “Pay No Mind” is about Trump then “Slip to the Void,” “All Hope is Gone” and the rest of AB3 is about Obama. He is racist Ugh, no he's not. That's literally what someone says when they cannot attack arguments, so they attack the person. This is also known as an "ad hominem" fallacy. So...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
Hating Trump isn't limited to someone who is intellectually lazy or someone who "turns on their tv for 10 seconds for inspiration." Trump is one of the most hatable people on the planet, and this extends a couple of decades before he was ever running for POTUS. Even if you agree with his ...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
Do you guys also love this passage "So entitled since the day that you were born..." that much? Might be one of my favorite parts of any AB song. The repetition with the change in rhythm/power etc. is so incredibly great, cannot stop listen to that. :mkrules :mtrocks Edit: I also get the ...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
The problem I am having when it comes to the lyrics is that people are really fast to assume that it is about Trump, when the band hasn't say that at all. For all you know, this song could be about me or you or everyone else. Let's not press our personal interpretations of lyrics as facts or assump...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
If we get another TLH, I'll consider that largely a disappointment.
Just like the overwhelming majority of that album.
Some of AB's least memorable tracks imo.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
That's what makes Tremonti so great and this is something that Stapp, as a musician, should have resolved long ago. Your job is to create music. Pick up a guitar and vow that you will become one of the best at creating and writing with it. 1. IMHO, there's nothing great about the band Tremonti. It'...

Re: AB VI Speculation
I'd like to see the band give themselves 6-8 months to write and record an album. Quality over quantity. I, too, like them to spend that much time on an album if the end result is a more quality album. Unfortunately, 4-5 of those months could be months that they could be touring (which, to them, no...

Re: AB VI Speculation
I think one reason why the band opts for Elvis is proximity. Unfortunately, AB gives itself an allotted amount of time to write and record an album and due to those time constraints, working with a producer in your own backyard helps facilitate that process. I'd like to see the band give themselves ...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
One of my biggest criticisms of Stapp is that he doesn't "write" his own music. Lyrics, yes. Music, no. It's hard to formulate music to specifically suit your voice when you're not even the one writing it. That's what makes Tremonti so great and this is something that Stapp, as a musician,...

I just realized there's echo on his vocals like on the AB and Tremonti records. Totally unneeded IMHO
His vocals need A LOT of help nowadays imho.
Even on the AoA record he sounds "tired."
He and Myles both have that nasal issue going on.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
I'll always consider "Relearn Love" his best single apart from Creed.
Excellent song vocally and melodically. The guitar also shined in that song.
Too bad that collaboration with The Tea Party didn't extend further.

Re: The Official MAYFIELD FOUR Thread
I get the feeling that it's a maturity thing. When I listen to ODR now I notice how hard Myles is trying. Every song has either a massively powerful high note or some vocal flourish to show he can hang. Now I feel he saves it for when it matters and really ads to the song. I guess he has less to pr...
