Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

I think it‘s a good song and better than Higher Power. The intro/verse guitar could have been an idea from Mark as well. And Yannis solo contributes a lot to the song. After the first two listens I don’t quite get the meaning of the lyrics. Which is actually not a bad thing… lol. Lately Stapp’s lyri...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Second listen: the song is extremely similar to Survivor from the last record. I like his vocals because he's much more skilled than he used to be. He can hit higher notes and roll his vocals more. He's much more emotive and than the last record. The issue is he doesn't have the same power as he us...

Fantastic 7 Creed songs reaction series on YT

Hey everyone, check out this fantastic reaction series on Creed by Music Shed. In this case a jazz musician and music teacher reacted to 7 Creed songs (My own prison, WTLF, Higher, What If, With arms wide open, My sacrifice and One Last Breath). I haven’t watched all of them, but what immediately go...

Re: John Moyer gives details about the Art of Anarchy lawsuit

John Moyers' frustration is absolutely understandable. The album was his baby. And that Stapp wasn't really stable shortly after his meltdown is no surprise either. But should John Mayer have told this publicly? Probably not. I hope that the lawsuit ends well and in the best case everyone can look e...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

How long can a man hold a grudge before it just becomes childish? Stapp has been stable and sober for several years now. He's put out two records in the process. He's also toured in the process. I think the only time we'll see creed back is if Alter Bridge needs some cash like in 09. I used to thin...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I listened to it really bad quality. The beginning sounded fantastic to me, but the chorus was kinda weird. Maybe a grower though.

That last scene on the mountain surely was a reference to the With Arms Wide Open video.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

A bit off-topic, but I just discovered an acoustic concert at Youtube performed last year. Really good sound quality and a good performance by Bumblefoot and the other musicians (some nice guitar improvising here and there). I especially found Overcome (00:31:28) and One (00:47:10) to be very well d...

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

That "within reason" part is the one that decides a lot. If MT couldn't afford to do Tremonti, he wouldn't be doing it. He might be writing those songs and sitting on them and exercising that particular creative muscle, nothing's stopping him from doing that, but when it comes to actually...

I'm pretty sure they played at least one more show after the Chicago one.

Also they met again after that to write new songs but it didn't work out.

Re: The Last Hero - AB Nation Discussion

Album is a grower for me. Cradle To The Grave stands out pretty much. Thrilling lyrics, great chorus. Myles' solo on This Side Of Fate is phenomenal. Sounds like a Venetian Opera (with guitars instead of singing of course). Classic Mark riff on Crows On A Wire or The Other Side. Still one of the mas...
