Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

So after watching the recent Myles' Q&A with Loudwire, it made me think about something. One question that was asked was something along the lines of "Does he have a fear of suffering writer's block?" Myles did not hesitate in saying yes and he knows that another AB album is down the h...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Dream Theater - A Mind Beside Itself (all three parts in one listen. Erotomania, Voices, The Silent Man.) I'm really digging their Awake album recently. Really good stuff. I enjoyed it better than the album before it, Images and Words. Too bad, the album was released in a year that the mainstream di...

Re: The Official Art of Anarchy Thread

Welp for Stapp.......... https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/art_of_anarchy_supergroup_suing_scott_stapp_for_breaching_contract_seeking_12_million.html Btw, if that article link seems misleading, no, Stapp is not being sued for 12 million. It's 1.2 million dollars. Also, Bumblefo...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

The planets are in alignment, the masses are ready and the time is just right for Myles Kennedy to release his debut solo album. If that sentence smacks a little facetious, cast that thought to the four winds, because adoring fans the world over have been long suffering in anticipation of this coll...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

It kinda annoys me that Myles is targeting the metal community so much, because he's not going to gain new fans there. In Belgium he's playing a metal club in the middle of nowhere, while there are some beautiful little places where this kind of music would be a way better fit, and where he'd reach...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

Damn, I hate it when they release so many songs before the actual album release. Song sounds cool after the first listen. Edit, in case you missed the Loudwire interview and Myles performance with TTournier, they are still on facebook as VoDs and hopefully on Youtube soon. I hate the fb-player. htt...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

^^ It gets better from here for Myles' sake or for your sake? There's a key difference there. I think at the end of the day, from what I've read in interviews it seems like he's pretty proud of what he's done for this album and how he wants to go with the direction of it and wanting to tell this sor...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

I do agree, the first part of the song was way different than where the song was going to go. I do think it's a fun song to hear, honestly. Probably the most upbeat song he's been a part of since The Dissident with Slash and the Conspirators. You think The Dissident is upbeat? There are more upbeat...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

Hmmm, whereas Haunted By Design went somewhat country in the solo, I think Myles went full country with Devil on the Wall. Still, Myles going for a country flair is bound to be better than the majority of the tripe they call country nowadays. Now I don't think he probably look out of place if he ope...

Re: AB's Billboard Boxscore Results

Ok, now that I think about looking at this week's boxscore. How AB did in terms of generating revenue at Starland Ballroom is pretty darn good in comparisons with the below. The following below are relatively somewhat known bands that drew in less money than what AB drew in at the Starland Ballroom ...

Re: Myles Kennedy Solo Tour 2018

Myles just announced today in a Loudwire interview that he will be doing All Ends Well acoustically on this tour....BEYOND jealous :mope Ooooo, All Ends Well. Yes, please. I would love to listen to that in the LA show. I got a feeling Myles may incorporate songs that goes well with the aftermath of...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Saxon's Thunderbolt album. The 4th album released in 2018 that I have listened to. Well, I always had the presumption that Saxon was on the more overlooked British heavy metal bands and maybe if certain aspects fall better, they probably would have been really popular up there with Maiden and Priest...

Re: Myles Kennedy Solo Tour 2018

I'm so bummed at how few dates/cities there are on this US tour. There's nothing within 800 miles of me, and it's a really bad time for me to try to travel anywhere. Looks like I'll miss both the Tremonti LP and Myles' whole tour and that totally sucks. Take the flight to LA to watch Myles, Gbruin....

Re: Myles Kennedy Solo Tour 2018

I got my tickets as well!!!! See, there is an upside that fans of Myles and AB in the states has over the fanbase in the UK. We were able to get our tickets in a painless manner and it was cheap. Only $25.00 including fees. I paid that much for the nosebleed seats for AB at the Wiltern in 2014 (went...

Re: Myles Kennedy Solo Tour 2018

Well, this is butts. Apparently, there is no pre-sale going on for the Troubadour show even though pre-sales are up for other shows. saw that too...stupid ticket fly. guess i'll be getting my tix friday. are you going to go too? Of course, I'm going. It's probably an hour drive from the OC, but for...

Re: Myles Kennedy Solo Tour 2018

Hmmm, heading to the Troubadour on a Sunday? For those that been there, how is that venue? Fudge, I may have to go to this and not wait to see if he heads to Orange County. This may be the only chance he may come to SoCal, solo acoustically. I should be fine getting tickets. If Timo was able to get ...

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

Oh yeah, if this DVD is scheduled for a 2019 release, then the anticipation for it is screwed due to AB VI on the horizon. Man, so many good things, AB-related happening in 2018, and 2019 is going to be great for them. AB entering their 15th year as a band and AB VI. IT'S ALL SO EXCITING!!!!

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

Someone on facebook said it was going to be released after Mark and Myles' solo albums There might be some good truth in that. Remember this. Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Myles. They are all signed with the same record label, Napalm Records, and all three have anticipated releases this year. Presumably,...
