Re: Alter Bridge Summer Europe Tour 2017

Looks like the Royal Albert Hall shows aren't the only shows they are doing in UK/Ireland. Aside from the already announced Belfast and Dublin, they are heading back to Scotland, but not in Glasgow, but in Edinburgh. They are playing the Edinburgh Usher Hall on October 5th.

Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........

Oh yeah, this has been announced for a while. They are playing at Columbus, Ohio at the Newport Music Hall on August 8th. Andy, that's kinda close to where you are. You think you would be making the drive?

Re: Alter Bridge Summer Europe Tour 2017

Well, color me surprised. This European tour is picking up nicely now when they are doing their own headlining shows. They played Lover, Fortress, and This Side of Fate on this leg and it's at the opening song of the encore. I like it. Heck, I believe it when people speculate that they are testing o...

Re: The long time member

It's a good honor indeed to headline Download, but is it really the goal nowadays for a musician? I mean look at the modern bands that never played Download before, but still have enough popularity that they can draw big crowds, but they choose not to play Download for whatever reasons. Pearl Jam, G...

Re: Books/What are you reading?

Chris Charlton's Lion's Pride: The Turbulent History of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Basically tells the story of NJPW's beginnings (and the beginning of what Japanese wrestling was like in post-WWII) to being one of the two absolute top promotions in Japan (them and AJPW, I believe, actually outdrew WW...

Re: Cradle to the Grave vid reaction

I have to say though. For a band that has never played this song live before, the shots in that video sure made it look like they actually played it live.

Now, does this mean they will actually play it live at some point or else why go through the hassle of editing for this particular song?

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Well, now I'm really confused. My ticket says I'm in Section GA Row GA8 Seat 8.

I thought House of Blues GA is mainly first come first serve?

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Well, I got my ticket. Can't say I'm too thrilled with the price. $46.50 total for One seat of ga. The service fee was a 1/3 of the face value. Just f' off live nation.

All right, guys. Pre-sale for that Halestorm/Starset show is today. How do I obtain a pre-sale code? Where should I look?

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Here's to hoping for another US run. And some markets they didn't hit like Anaheim and St Louis (at least a headline) Kev. What gives me hope so far is that AB have yet to hit Spokane, this tour, and they always hit Spokane for obvious reasons so that if they do a show in Spokane, they are bound to...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

While we are talking about big bands playing a show nearby home, Halestorm and Starset is playing the Anaheim House of Blues in October. Pretty close to me. The fact that it is on a Friday makes it a lot better. I can't pass that up, especially since it is still unknown whether or not AB is heading ...

Nickelback - Every Time We're Together

Dang you Nickelback and your sappy ballads. When they do try, it just sounds so dang catchy and upbeat and re-listenable.

Re: The long time member

^^ Doesn't matter honestly. I mean it's not like it's the end of the world that if they don't headline Download. Would it be nice for them to play 18 songs of the usual stuff in front of like 60k people in a single show? Sure, but I think at this point, they are not really putting a huge priority wa...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Blink 182 - Stay Together for the Kids When I heard this song on the Kroq radio station, I thought this was a song from Three Days Grace until I heard the chorus. Anyway, I didn't think Blink 182 would actually create a song in their catalog that's deeply provocative dealing with a topic that affect...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Yeah, with the exception of Feed the Machine, Song on Fire, and After the Rain, the 1st half of the album kinda dragged for me. From Home onward, it picked up nicely incorporating the things that I really loved about post-grunge/alternative metal music as a kid and still love to this day. The two &q...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Here we go. Nickelback's Feed the Machine album. The 19th album released in 2017 that I have listened to. I actually have high hopes for this album and not dreading having to listen to a Nickelback album. I blasted one of their singles, Song on Fire, a lot and I really enjoyed that song which alread...

Here's another song called Mercy. It might just be me and my bad ears, but I'm feeling a Slash solo band vibe in this one.

Re: Royal Albert Hall DVD

I mean if the orchestra can pick up the rhythm and the pacing of the band on the fly as great as something like this, I think everything will be fine.
