Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

All right at the Honda Center for Michael Buble. I may hate this arena for various reasons, but they have much cheaper parking than The Forum.

Re: Marching In Time

As a guy that knows a lot of stuff about Modern Hard Rock, Active Rock, Octane, etc. I'm going to say this. It's amusing when people make that kind of comment on how AB and Tremonti seems to gun for that Active Rock charts in the singles so people think AB/Tremonti is tailoring their sound to appeal...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Yep, bought the ticket to Michael Buble today. Got it at $50.00 since I don't think it's going to go lower. I will be sporting my Ides of March t-shirt since that's what I usually wear for non-rock shows. Probably will still look out of place, but whatever. I look forward for a calm night out which ...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Man, I got a bit greedy in waiting. I wanted a ticket to see Michael Buble tomorrow in Anaheim. Stubhub had it going for $43.00 for the cheapest seats. I wanted it to go under $40.00 before paying, and someone else got it at that price. Now the lowest price is $50.00. Let's see if I can get lucky in...

Re: Marching In Time

It's a 10/10 album based on their metrics that they set for themselves. I don't think this is a 10/10 album myself, since I didn't enjoy the first half of it as much as the last half of it, but I can safely say it's a favorite album of the year. Now granted, I haven't listened to as many albums this...

Re: Marching In Time

I don't get why everybody gets so pumped about the stuff that's gonna sound just like the previous record. But I think we're still allowed to have a civil discussion about it. Because people like that kind of stuff. Simple answer, yet effective. Am I not allowed to get excited about stuff that I kn...

Re: Marching In Time

I can understand how this can be a concern given that Tremonti is supposed to be the faster, nastier, shreddy, metal side of him, but honestly, given my personal detachment with metal and its culture nowadays, it doesn't bother me much that he can bring the nasty riffs and pair it with the melodic s...

Re: Thx 4 the mmries

The more I'm thinking about it, the more I want to take a train to San Francisco for the Metallica shows. It seems like it would be $15.00 cheaper than a plane ticket. Downside is that this trip would last 11.5 hours going from 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM the next day. On top of that, the train trip would on...

Re: Marching In Time

Well, when they sent out my package on 09/16, they sent me a tracking number and you can click that number and it shows when the postal service is estimated to arrive with your package. Ordered it on the Tremonti website.

Re: Marching In Time

Not Afraid to Lose is one of my faves of the album and honestly, despite it's length, it really didn't need a lengthy solo (i mean there's a small mini-solo after the first chorus if you can call it a solo like if you think the end of In the Deep counts as a solo). I say it's a solid Mark Tremonti b...

Re: Marching In Time

All right, finished the album. I'm pleased with it. I won't go any details song by song, but I feel like this goes the template that AB albums would go. Great opening song, then the next few songs are songs you probably think would be a single on Octane, and then the back half from In One Piece onwa...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

All right, it's time! It's time! It's Vader time! No wait, wrong thing. It's Marching in Time..... time? Tremonti's Marching in Time album. I would like to thank Janus Music Management and whoever they used to ship this out where I was fortunate to receive it a week early. I made it to this point. H...

I got the package today. I'll give it a listen in the evening as I got other things to do. I'll give my thoughts at some point.

Re: The DAUGHTRY Thread

So Dearly Beloved is out right now. A couple of songs in. I like it. I think it's a really tough standard to top their first two album, but I'm enjoying this better than their last two albums so that's a plus. I think the direction of the songs is pretty much on par of what Shinedown is going for in...

Ahh, snaps, baby. I got an email stating that my package is set to arrive by Monday. That's all I got to say about it since I have avoided hearing anything from Marching in Time. That will change on Monday.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I greatly appreciate the offer, Mara, but I think logistically, at this point, it may be too much of a headache to get time off with a week's notice and, honestly, I don't have the stamina nowadays to last four days standing all day. On the fourth show of the West Coast AB trip back in 2020, my feet...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I might have made the stupidest purchase of my life for a lot of reasons, but I got a two-day pass to see Metallica's 40th anniversary shows in San Francisco. Costed me $273.00 for a front row seat in the upper sections. I regret nothing. Awesome! Well so you don’t feel alone. I paid $679.00 for a ...
