Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

Gosh.... I don't want to get myself excited only to be disappointed again that it doesn't happen and this is more of a long shot, logistically than what could have been last year. Creed has a one week break after a show in the New York state on August 24th. AEW's show in Wembley Stadium is on August...

Re: Mark about a Creed reunion

And that's great and that's exciting for the Creed camp, but for people to not be happy about Tim's comments and for people to be in a pissy mood, at the time, still leaves a sour taste to me.

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

Crowd reactions in the spur of the moment like these begs the question..... WHY HAVEN'T THEY PLAY METALINGUS LIVE IN A STADIUM SETTING TO PLAY EDGE OUT! I know he wanted to do something unique for his entrance in his match against Finn Balor at last year's Wrestlemania, but damn, other than 2020 (th...

Re: Opening Acts Through The Years

Wait, wait, wait. I don't think Sevendust was part of the Victorious Sky tour with Skillet. The way I recall it and I went to the first show of the tour in Raleigh, NC when it was AB (by themselves as headlining) and the openers were 10 Years and Dirty Honey and I know Dirty Honey was the opener for...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I'm so sad right now. I just read the news, which actually happened months ago, that FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine closed for good because Live Nation and the City of Irvine could not agree with who would pay for what when it comes to the venue moving forward. That sucks, it was a solid outdoor v...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Wow. Scott Stapp is a grandfather now..... To put it into more context, Mark, whose going to turn 50 in April, has a 3 year old daughter. We are getting ancient here.

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

Slash is also doing a Summer tour based on this Blues cover album. I don't know if Myles is going to be a part of this, since it's not billed under Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, although I can't imagine him not being a part of this given the format. Is there any word that Myles...

All right. I’m in LAX and ready to go to Cleveland to see A7X and then take a train to Pittsburgh to perhaps watch the Penguins go against the Oilers.

Re: Mark about a Creed reunion

I mean people seemed pretty ticked off about Tim's comments and the overall mood seemed not too grand at the time the cruise was announced as if that cruise was going to be the only thing Creed were going to do in that reunion (you can see pages 12-14 in this thread). Meanwhile, I had that uneasines...

Re: Mark about a Creed reunion

I'm still a little mad that people got mad, initially, about Tim's comment around the time the cruise was announced. It's like those people that got mad didn't consider the notion that fans like me wanted that reassurance that bands like AB and Tremonti solo is still going to keep going and everyone...

Re: No, I don't think you did.

Angy says, it's something. I say, that's it? I mean it's the year off. Like as much as I want them to do some 20-year anniversary shows or release an EP of whatever or something more substantial, the expectations of them doing stuff this year, under Alter Bridge, is going to be low. I don't even wa...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

AB's Twitter feed posted a Youtube link from a festival in Spain they played last year of a proshot video of Metalingus. I will say this. In the years that is deemed AB's year off (think 2012, 2015, 2018, 2021, now), I always get the feeling, during those years, that the band doesn't really exist or...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Less than a month before I go to Cleveland to see A7X. For a band like this, this gets the deep dive listen where I listen to every album and maybe a live release from their beginning to the now starting with this album...

Re: Summer 2024 Tour and Summer of '99 and Beyond festival

^^ Is it blowing it? Other bands their size have done big successful reunion tours without needing new material and quite frankly, I don't think casual fans are thinking "They need a new album to capitalize on it." If they want to release an album because they got great song ideas they wan...

Re: Summer 2024 Tour and Summer of '99 and Beyond festival

^^ Sure, the exposure is grand and the shows are selling well, but it all comes down to if they cannot repair the internal culture that ended the first two stints, the shelf life for this one may not last long. No amount of mainstream exposure or high-end arena shows can compensate if the vibes and ...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

Well, came back from the Haken show at the House of Blues in Anaheim. Pretty good show, but that's not what I want to talk about here. Saw a bunch of skateboard displays on the walls of the venue that highlights bands that have played in this very venue and I wondered, "Hmmm, is AB somewhere he...
