Re: What are you listening to right now?

Iron Maiden - Paschendale I keep seeing a lot of people that loves Iron Maiden praise this song, but I'm like, "There's no way this song can live up to those expectations, which are highly lofty when it comes to Maiden," but it did. What a gem of a song and it came out in 2003 (about 15-20...

Matt Guillory - Inside

I like this track a lot. The guy who wrote and sang it is the keyboardist and main songwriter of James Labrie (Dream Theater) solo band.

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

I really like it. Has a cool arrangement and you can hear the bass and details of the drums really shining through (but I was listening on my stereo with a subwoofer lol). I appreciate that it's so different from the music he makes with Alter Bridge and Slash. A lot of solo artists release albums t...

Re: Tremonti pt #4

Is this one still expected to be a 2 parter? Last I heard it was but the promos Fret 12 is emailing out only cite 2018 as Tremonti IV I was under the impression that it was going to be a double-album. One half heavy, the other half lighter. Something along the lines of Foo Fighters' In Your Honor.

Mr. Slash wrote:Was there some kind of vocal editing? Myles voice sounds kinda auto tuned at some points.

Can vocals be autotuned if they were recorded to tape?

Re: AB's Billboard Boxscore Results

Hey, their first trip to Argentina is really good. Good revenue, sold out the two shows. Their first show in Brazil co-headlining with the Cult. Hmmmm. I mean if this was a standalone headlining AB show, and they were playing in a 2,000 people capacity venue, it would be a good result, but co-headli...

Re: The Official BIG WRECK Thread

I just realized that they are playing In Loving Memory Of... in full to commemorate its 20th year anniversary in their tour next year. I'm for it. The one song I really wanted them to play in Santa Ana was Under The Lighthouse, anyway, so hearing that they are playing the album in full makes that an...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Walk the Moon's What If Nothing album. The 38th album released in 2017 that I have listened to. I've heard two tracks from these guys. One that's very overplayed and one that I find catchy. I'm going to hear an album from them and see what happens.

Walk the Moon - One Foot

I can't help it. This track is pretty catchy. I'll probably listen to their new album at some point this week.

What the heck happened? Also, when I saw Zaz made that thread, I thought he lost his marbles.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

So, Spotify has their yearly stat check. http://2017wrapped.com Here's what mines has, based on what I listened to on Spotify, which is a lot. https://i.imgur.com/IHeUHzn.png Top Artists make sense. I've been listening to lot more Papa Roach than I thought I would. Top songs make sense. I was surpri...

Re: Tremonti pt #4

Tremonti will be playing in Carolina Rebellion on the day that Alice in Chains, Stone Sour, and Shinedown are playing. The overall weekend looks to be a great line-up. I hope they get a release date and single out, or better yet the album is out by then. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DQPD7TBVwAARfMQ.j...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Mastodon's Emperor of Sand album. The 36th album released in 2017 that I have listened to. Going through a list of albums that was released in 2017 on Wikipedia. Trying to see if there is an album that I overlooked that I want to hear. Decided to listen to this one. I heard nothing but good things a...

^^ That's the main reason why they did not want to play it in the first place before the Royal Albert Hall shows.

U2's Songs of Experience album. The 35th album released in 2017 that I have listened to. So a few years back, U2 released their album Songs of Innocence which I thought was a good album, albeit very very marred with the way they marketed the album where they got Apple to download the album to everyo...

Re: The Official BIG WRECK Thread

Speaking of Big Wreck, they did a cover of Rush's Closer to the Heart to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Rush's A Farewell to Kings album. It started out bringing a modern faithful cover to the song, but then after a minute in, they brought a bit of heaviness in this one that distinguishes it fr...

Re: What Are You Eating/Drinking, Right Now?

Eating peppermint ice cream. Saw that Smart and Final had a 2 for $5 deal for ice cream in 1.5 quartz cartons. Saw that they had a peppermint flavor one for the holidays. I thought I want to try that out. This is not as good as I thought it would be, but at least, my breath would be minty for a while.

SWEET BABY JEBUS!!! Big Wreck playing in Santa Ana on March 9th, 2018, which is a Friday. Only a 20 minute drive from my work. Do I want to go to this show? Yes, of course, I would want to. Edit: Got the tickets. Only $26.00 including fees. Small venue though. Constellation Room is only a 300 people...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

Aren't the Grammy Awards just a huge circlejerk for the big and popular names in music industry? I mean, the Green Day record for example was pretty bland (as every Green Day record since American Idiot). Oh yeah, no question about it. It's a big circlejerk indeed. Edit: All right, just looked at t...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

I'm not one to really care about bands winning Grammies or watching the Grammy Award ceremony in general, and I know it is utterly impossible for AB to be a top contender to win a Grammy for best rock album, but they got to outlast 300 entries to get a shot? Who knows. Maybe the people that pick the...
