Re: Alter Bridge - Magazine Covers

Holy shit. They are still paying off that Wind-Up contract buy-out?!?!? Mad props for sticking to it and not selling out guys. I'm sure it was millions and millions of dollars. Yep. Not something that can just go away for a long time, depending on how they make the payment arrangements to pay off t...

Re: Listening party thread (Walk the Sky edition)

All right, the actual Part III of this rather longer to write than I ever anticipated trip report. Part III: Strolling around Downtown Orlando, heading to Raleigh, and running into a certain someone in-between. All right, Day two of my trip has arrived and I think I had the best night’s sleep I had ...

Re: Creed getting back together in 2020?

I just wish someone would tell him when you have something that connects with over 50 million people, the opinion of some guy from Rolling Stone, Blabbermouth or Pearl Jam is worth less than nothing. Ok, counterpoint and question. What about the value of the AB fans that came in totally fresh not k...

At the City National Grove of Anaheim for Delain and Amorphis. I barely know any of these bands but a fun time is to be had.

Re: Hand washing. It's a real thing.

Is this the part where you spend a bunch of time with Myles at baggage claim while you're getting sick, and he coincidentally has to quit singing songs on tour about a week later? Now I did not get Myles sick and I wasn't the only person that Myles talked to at baggage claim. There was a group of w...

Re: Listening party thread (Walk the Sky edition)

Thank you, guys. I appreciate the comments. There's more to come and I didn't think that my Wednesday of the trip would be eventful, but that would change quickly even if that moment lasted only a few minutes.

Re: Listening party thread (Walk the Sky edition)

Yeah, I'm shocked as much as well when I first saw that shirt. It's like instant purchase after the show was done. I also like the little touches on Mark's outfit with the Fret12 logo (you can't see it more clearly, since I'm not a great picture taker) and the birds.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Man, a crapton of shows has shown up on Groupon and I'm already busy enough as it is for October and November. Here's the list of bands whose shows is on Groupon at a pretty good price (less than $30.00 for GA) in the LA/Orange County area. Atreyu Gwar Arch Enemy In Flames (Red is also on the bill) ...

Re: Alter Bridge Walk the Sky Tour 2019

that's why u should stay single and not have kids. Shoulda thoughta that before, dumbshit. Unless you meant that jokingly, watch the namecalling. Sometimes in life, priorities have to shift over a concert. I missed out in seeing AB in 2017 because I had to help my parents in us moving to Orange Cou...

Re: Listening party thread (Walk the Sky edition)

All right, Part II of my trip. I think I will divide this whole thing up into five parts, so here we go. This is a really long post. Waiting in line, getting the picture, listening to the album and seeing the set Got in line at 1:00 PM and I was like the 10th person in line. Some people were even th...

Re: Creed getting back together in 2020?

It isn't a matter of him being obligated, he likes writing for his solo project, and that's what he is going to do. If or when the time comes, hopefully everyone is 100% into it and in a good frame of mind. It isn't worth it if they aren't excited to play that music. I think that's been Mark's fram...

Re: Alter Bridge Walk the Sky Tour 2019

Yeah, they have been. Usually on the Ticketmaster website of the particular show, whichever band is top logo is headliner. I.E. Chicago show has AB on top, they will close. St. Louis show has Skillet on top, AB will play before them. Or to make things clearer, if it says Alter Bridge & Skillet o...

Holy shit. They are still paying off that Wind-Up contract buy-out?!?!? Mad props for sticking to it and not selling out guys. Most importantly, it stated that they are going to be finally paying the whole thing off by the end of the year! Holy hell, 13.5 years of paying off that debt and they are ...

Re: Alter Bridge Walk the Sky Tour 2019

Well, let's see here. Amsterdam show is on 12/10. London show is 12/21 and France show is 12/09. Try to see if you can stay in Paris for an extra five days. Other than that. Try to see if you can travel to Germany for a show while you are in Amsterdam. It's about 4-6 hours from the shows they are in...

Re: Listening party thread (Walk the Sky edition)

All right, the time is now. I’ve put this off way too long and I certainly want to say my story before Walk the Sky is out. The time for me to tell my stories of my 3.5 days trip to the East Coast. Be forewarn, this is not really much about a story about how the band played or how the Walk the Sky a...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I didn't think too fondly of Tear Us Apart. I thought in the verses that Myles used his upper range a bit too much for the song. Then again, I think Godspeed could very well be the most polarizing song of the album. That stated, I think people will dig Native Son, Forever Falling, Walking on the Sky...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

Btw, I figured out why that classical melody in the verses in Dying Light sounded so familiar. It derived from Beethoven's Ode to Joy. Should be an easy composition to remember, but I was racking my brain for the last few days trying to figure out why it sounded so familiar. That's how uncultured I ...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

So. A week since the last post, made by me, in this thread. Does anyone have anything they want to talk about? I got some interesting concerts in the next three weeks. Going to see Delain with Amorphis and Anneke van Giersbergen next Friday in Anaheim, got the Self-Help festival in San Bernardino th...
