Re: ALTER BRIDGE - Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities

I think "overdub" was just the wrong choice of words. There's no second guitar part, which is why Myles doesn't play. (on top of the fact that playing Metalingus and singing it at the same time would be pretty challenging) Yes, that's what I meant. And the fact that Myles' guitar is panne...

Re: ALTER BRIDGE - Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities

Metalingus sound fucking horrible with one guitar. I don't get why Myles doesn't play it. He plays some songs from that album. And I mean they have harder songs to play that he does while singing. It just irks me so much. Actually that song stood out as a bad one vocally too. I still enjoy the albu...

Re: Alter Bridge/Creed/Mark Tremonti Tuning Master List

Burn it Down is in E standard on the album and they played it like that on the ODR tour:

But they've been performing it in Eb since the Blackbird (so to speak) tour:

This is NAMM 2007, January I suppose.

Re: ALTER BRIDGE - Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities

A b-side is a track that didn't make it to the album. Save Me was written specifically to be on the Electra movie soundtrack or something. That's why it's not a b-side.

He doesn't play the verse because it is too tricky to play it and sing at the same time.

Myles is indeed seems to be playing the lower octave. It means Mark finally learned to sign and play the higher part simultaneously.

I don't think Save Me and ARTS are considered B-sides

I don't get it. They are promoting a LIVE DVD with a LIVE song with a LYRIC VIDEO?

Re: The Official PORCUPINE TREE Thread

I was talking about HCE being great and two new tracks not hitting me emotionally, just to be clear.

But yeah, SW does not write singles so you need to get familiar with the bigger picture to be able to assess his work properly.

Re: The Official PORCUPINE TREE Thread

SW is slowly starting to gravitate away from what I felt in love about him in the first place. I loved HCE and these new tracks are pretty good, but It doesn't really move me emotionally or anything. Still looking forward to the new record though.

My thoughts exactly. There was a huge development between ODR and Blackbird but there has been nothing special ever since.

This is unbearable, and this is coming from a guy that is very open-minded when it comes to music. The stuff they're doing at the moment is a blatant money grab. Chester can say whatever he wants about fulfilling one's musical pursuits but I don't believe that a band that built their fame on nu meta...

Are we talking about the roll? I don't think it's a mistake. A lot of drummers do that. I would, if I was one lol.

Re: Solos on The Last Hero

It's all pretty bizarre, cause I own Blackbird Official Tabbook, and it says that they are both in regular Drop B (B-F#-B-E-G#-C#) for Coming Home, but if you look closely at what Myles does in the intro on Live in Amsterdam + if you look at this tab: https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/a/alter_bridge/...

Any proof? Myles does the intro figure which requires a regular Drop B, BADGBE would not work in such environment.
