Re: Marching In Time

Heard the tune thanks to the magic of VPN. Yeah, it does sound pretty chubby, reminds me a lot of that djenty, chuggy, proggy stuff along the lines of Tesseract or Meshuggah. Too bad he's gone for a totally gooey, melodic chorus to blow that heaviness out of the water. Pretty standard bridge that re...

Good for you and your band man! That Big Stars sounds cool although it's acoustic and has a tons of vocals. I want to hear you rock out with the drum kit, bass and the rest! The best of luck!

Re: My band Headroom Karma is up and running!

Not gonna comment on songwriting and stuff like that, but dude, that needs at least decent production, despite being a demo.
When you have so much music out there nowadays and everybody is looking for attention, you need to at least make sure that it sounds decent.

Re: Marching In Time

I don't get it - you usually barely hear the bass in studio. Here it's shits all over the rest. And yeah, you can barely hear the vocals.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

It's weird to realize that less time went by between the original break-up and the 2009 reunion than that Tremonti/Stapp fallout in 2012 and today. But that just goes to shows that Mark isn't really interested in coming back to Creed.

Re: Favorite non-album track?

NWTL definitely, although I don't think b-sides fall under the definition of non-album tracks - they would have been on an album had they not been dropped in favour of other tracks. Last Rites or Save Me only fit that definition but oh well.

Nice man! Now it starts to make sense with those big chords in Standard E where the fifth is dropped down to the string below.

Re: Marching In Time

I see Tanner snuck into the mixing room and cranked his bass volume all the way up lol. I like it. Wish the drums had some more “pop” though. They really have this noise I’m not loving in the car, the drums. Loud war maybe? I don’t know. As per usual with Elvis - I can't hear much in this mix espec...

Re: Alter Bridge/Creed/Mark Tremonti Tuning Master List

My guess is Standard B, cause he's playing an open B5 at 2:29 in the video and the intro riff is pedalling off of that high B string.

Marching In Time by TREMONTI was produced longtime friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette – the producer Mark has worked with exclusively since 2007.
What about Howard Benson who produced Full Circle in 2009? :headscratch
What they put down looks better on paper :shifty
