Re: Marching In Time

I don't get why everybody gets so pumped about the stuff that's gonna sound just like the previous record. But I think we're still allowed to have a civil discussion about it. Because people like that kind of stuff. Simple answer, yet effective. Am I not allowed to get excited about stuff that I kn...

Re: Marching In Time

I can understand that people like Tremonti as a band and enjoy this record. What I don't get is all those insane reviews giving it a 9/10 or a 10/10. Have those reviewers ever heard an actual masterpiece? Those things are pretty rare if you ask me. I'm a bit older than most people here, and I've li...

Re: Marching In Time

I'm not saying anyone is telling him what to do, I just don't understand after all this time people expect anything OVERALL any different than the style we usually get. The man makes melodic alternative/hard rock/metal. It's been brought up literally since before All I Was even released. By the alo...

Re: Marching In Time

People always complain about this, but y'all need to realize that the problem is with you not Tremonti. He's making music how he likes to make it, and alot of us like it like that and don't see a need for any change with the structure. I'm paraphrasing, but I remember Zakk Wylde saying something ba...

Re: Marching In Time

The thing that sounds a bit weird to me and which happens a bunch of times on the album is the juxtaposition of some unbelievably fantastic heavy thundering thrash intro riffs that then morph into beautiful soaring almost arena rock quality choruses. Both by themselves are so good, but they sort of...

Re: Marching In Time

Do I hear Mark do some jazzy phrasing at the end of The Last One of Us? Finally something new.

Re: Marching In Time

I have attended hundreds of concerts. I've seen the Stones. Paul McCartney. Bruce Springsteen. This was one of the best sets I've ever seen. Jesus Christ. Took a few videos, you can probably find them on Twitter. Incredible stuff. SEE THIS BAND IF YOU CAN!! I left right after Tremonti and there wer...

Re: Marching In Time

Heard the tune thanks to the magic of VPN. Yeah, it does sound pretty chubby, reminds me a lot of that djenty, chuggy, proggy stuff along the lines of Tesseract or Meshuggah. Too bad he's gone for a totally gooey, melodic chorus to blow that heaviness out of the water. Pretty standard bridge that re...

Good for you and your band man! That Big Stars sounds cool although it's acoustic and has a tons of vocals. I want to hear you rock out with the drum kit, bass and the rest! The best of luck!

Re: My band Headroom Karma is up and running!

Not gonna comment on songwriting and stuff like that, but dude, that needs at least decent production, despite being a demo.
When you have so much music out there nowadays and everybody is looking for attention, you need to at least make sure that it sounds decent.

Re: Marching In Time

I don't get it - you usually barely hear the bass in studio. Here it's shits all over the rest. And yeah, you can barely hear the vocals.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

It's weird to realize that less time went by between the original break-up and the 2009 reunion than that Tremonti/Stapp fallout in 2012 and today. But that just goes to shows that Mark isn't really interested in coming back to Creed.

Re: Favorite non-album track?

NWTL definitely, although I don't think b-sides fall under the definition of non-album tracks - they would have been on an album had they not been dropped in favour of other tracks. Last Rites or Save Me only fit that definition but oh well.
