All excellent options, Dissident. It's so hard to narrow it down to just a few. :rockon Few bands have such consistent and impressive discographies. Only Alter Bridge and Dream Theater . Re: ERock & Creed: Twitter, MySpace, Facebook

Yeah, a lot of already nonexistent bands sometimes change their profile pictures on FB (Pink Floyd anyone?) but it doesn't mean they're coming back. They are mostly managed by hired guys. Maybe the one that is in charge of Creed's page got drunk and thought like: 'Let's stir shit up by changing the ...

So basically Brian's parts would have been awesome if he had had more time with them.

But they didn't learn how to play the reversed version and recorded it this way. I guess.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

This makes me realize how much money-oriented this '09 reunion must have been. Mark not even being able to look at Stapp and tour with him on the same bus. This would also explain the quality of the music on Full Cricle. Mark was just clearing his memory cards up off average ideas, saving anything v...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

That's what I thought as well when I was listening to it. You might say that that's because of the amount of touring, especially when he does that 'I hope we're not gonna start with Bullets tonight' remark. I suppose that a lot of people must have had their own bag in the success of a band that sold...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Is that what may have led him to get fucked up and ruin that Chicago show? It's crazy to think that this Minneapolis interview was done in November 2002 and 6 weeks after that they were basically done. Especially in the context of that last question about how he would see Creed's future in 10-20 yea...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Jeez, those dumb radio DJs trying to put Brian down. I didn't know he had a different band though. Where does he talk about DSD though?

EDIT: Oh, in the second one.

Re: Do you prefer Creed or Alter Bridge?

I don't know what's so cringy about Creed. You don't have to listen to music with your eyes and bother so much about the personalities of the writers. I get that tracks like Don't Stop Dancing, Higher and My Sacrifice are a little bit on the cheesier side but these guys are responsible for masterpie...

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

The difference between the 5 string and 6 string is that you have an extra string but not at the bottom but at the top (mostly it's a C) so it wouldn't impact the heaviness.
But Mark plays an 5 string in this video anyway (1:13):

Probably because they aren’t using a six string bass live (which is what was used on the record).

Any source of that info? Mark recorded the bass on Weathered and it seems that they used a 5 string bass because that tune has a low D note.

Re: Underrated Alter Bridge Appreciation Thread

Apparently no one here likes The Uninvited, so I'm going to give that one some love right now. I came across a lot of people who liked The Univited around the times of the release of Fortress. I quite enjoy it as well, but I wish they'd gone with this Toolish groove a little bit further. Show Me a ...

Re: Creed's YouTube Channel

Haha, it looks so ankward after they've finished the song and the presenters kept on speaking French. This must have been one of their very few perfomances in Europe. I've heard that the most of that leg got cancelled because of Stapp's health problems or something. But I also remember seeing a live...

Re: What's Next Musically for Alter Bridge? A Concept Album?

Out of interest, how many more albums do you think the guys have in them? I perpetually worry that the next album will be their last, although I've been doing that since Fortress for no good reason. I've just remembered something in the context of what you've written right there. Around the ABIII c...

Re: What's Next Musically for Alter Bridge? A Concept Album?

Not gonna elaborate on it but, yes - absolutely. But it should a full-blown concept record, not only lyrically but musically wth segues, reocurring themes, little interludes etc. But I'm not gonna put my money on it - it wouldn't be a good decision marketing wise for the guys - a writing of such a r...
