Guys, it's spam.

Can't believe I have to say this.

Re: AB VI Speculation

I think Mark and Myles sit on those songs for a longer while. They then bring them to the rehearsal space, Flip and Brian learn their parts, little adjustments are made and the record is done.

Re: AB VI Speculation

I think Elvis mixes accordingly with the band's style. Huge choruses, soaring guitars, loud drums. He's mixed Year of the Tiger as well and the production isn't that overpowering because the music isn't. If only AB could experiment with dynamics a little bit - we would have a bigger variety of sounds.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Right on, man, I get it. I don't know how long it takes to release and market an album, but I've seen situations where the mixing was done in April and album was released in June. With ABIII the album was done in April and released in late September with a single in July.

But do they have the same managment? Even if they do, it doesn't matter.

How is the new AB dependent on Stapp's solo work? it's gonna be out by fall.

Re: Mark Morton feat. Myles Kennedy, Chester Bennington and others. (Release date March 1)

I've heard the whole record and it's extremely bland, the Chester's and Myles' songs are the stand-outs but, Jesus Christ, that record is a modern rock cliche.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Stapp does play guitar (which is to be seen in the famous Olympics 2002 set and in one of the studio videos when they were writing Creed V with Tremonti, he also did an acoustic set a couple years ago with Erock backing him up) but I don't believe he comes up with full songs as such. This clip sound...

Re: Mark Morton feat. Myles Kennedy, Chester Bennington and others. (Release date March 1)

I was obviously referring to what's going on in the 'mainstream', because if you dig down into progressive and experimental scenes, you'll find a lot of brilliant stuff but this track is just modern (mainstream) rock/metal at it's blandest. I've listened to the two other tracks from this upcoming re...

No wonder people say rock is dying when you hear tracks like that. Myles sounds pretty cool tho.

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

The rehearsal room I used to play with my band at had like a stock Marshall MG 100 which had a similar issue. Whenever I would crank the channel volume up, it would drop down to the original setting after a couple of seconds. When you then touched the volume knob to adjust it, the volume would sudde...

Re: NEW! A Glimmer of Hope

Mark's attitude has once again changed over the years from "I don't want to see this guy [Stapp] ever again' to "everybody deserves second, third, forth, thousandth chance' which clearly suggests that he is waiting for the right moment to work with Stapp again, but I don't feel it's based ...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Troubles with the sound and orchestra-mix ? Buy a decent sound-system. I get the feeling that in this digital and streaming age the quality of playing-gear is getting worse and worse and people are expecting compensation for that in mixing and production. I listen to S&M by Metallica on Spotify...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

I don't find this performance great and I'm open about it. What I actually find annoying, are the fans who swallow everything the band puts out without any word of criticism. 'This is one of the best rock bands' is a justification for Myles being sloppy? I think it's quite telling that long time fan...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

- Myles didn't goof too much, he barely "talk-singed", and we almost didn't hear any "that's right" during the show. He really tried his best, and I salute him for that. Myles hasn't been performing vocals too well for years IMO. He simplifies his own vocal lines too often and s...

They were sent the link. They say at the beginning that a guy from the publishing company reached out to them.

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

I'm sorry but Mark's tone sounds like shit on these backed off 'clean' wannabe parts like the verse of Brand New Start or Blackbird. I can't believe he couldn't bring out a proper clean amplifier for such a legendary gig.
