Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

Got this back in the spring. It's the tremonti baritone hybrid model. Enjoying it so far! https://s2.postimg.org/6y3smzod5/20170610_155855.jpg https://s2.postimg.org/syk54220p/20170610_155914.jpg You bastid! That is one hell of a guitar. That neck is something else. Funny how it's called a baritone...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

That doesn't sound auto-tuned at all. The vocal tracking seems to be very much untouched in general. Not even any reverb or delay, let alone autotune. I like it a lot. The double-bass is a nice touch. It sounds very much like an intro to a great album. Nice natural sound to it and some lovely instru...

Re: Performance Videos

Awesome idea for a thread. I've always liked listening to your stuff TenaciousBe. Takes guts to do acoustic stuff, you're quite exposed on your own and without a loud amplifier to cover your tracks. Hey, thanks man! I think I've done better with the acoustic stuff than anything I ever did electric....

Myles still be Myles. It was a career best performance so I have zero complaints on that front.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

@crumbso looks like you sat behind the amps, pretty logical you heard the orchestra over anything amped... Yeah I get that but they should be miced up and pushing through the PA to the side. Those were expensive seats and when I say I couldn't hear anything, I mean it. Not sure whether to blame the...

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

Just a thought, but if they were ever to headline Download. This would be the way to do it. Considering they're more reserved than other metal bands this would be how they could make it special.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

I’ve been refraining from posting my review because I could have, overall, had a better time. I’ve not seen AB live since around 2011 (having been a mega fan from 2004 onwards and seeing them every time they came to the UK) as I got more and more exasperated with poor sound, rushed performances and ...

Re: Myles's solo album

That's the crazy thing about Elvis. He was there during the Second Skin sessions, which probably have the best Myles vocals ever. Why can't he record and mix them the same way nowadays? I don't know why he has to use some many effects and echo on his vocals on the AB records. We've discussed this t...

Re: FOO FIGHTERS!

I super enjoyed Silence, Eco-Systems, Patents and Grass. I still count it as my fav from them. It was excellently recorded and they really branched out and tried different moods, which made for a less monotonous album that they usually put out. Wasting Light was awesome but a tad over-long for the m...

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

I've transitioned my live rig from an EVH 5150 III 50 Watt head to a Victory Kraken. It's harder to dial in but overall I think I prefer it. It's got a very sharp 'front-of-the-note' kind of sound. It's also muuuuch easier to get to gigs and rehearsal. https://youtu.be/lkh_00XTTo0 Any other Victory ...

Woah. Sorry. Just seen this. Thank you so much man. It's one that we love but it doesn't really fit in with the rest of our stuff so we always wonder whether to include it.
