Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

That ain't no falsetto. It's just a clean high, perhaps in a mix or head voice. I think he would struggle with that live night after night.

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

I'm loving this on repeat listens. The energy just overtakes everything and it's so positive it's cool man.

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

Can't quite process this one. It's got a ODR/Creed on speed vibe. I like it/don't like it/not sure it! Got some more synth strings in the bridge.

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

There really is a weight behind the song that has been missing from previous releases and I think it's because Mark is actually singing about SOMETHING rather than the usual angsty epithets.

Well.... it's official. In their current states/releases, I prefer Tremonti over Alter Bridge. Damn good song. Much hype. Very excite. Wow.

Also, suprise of the year. I very much like an Elvis production.

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

But his new PRS MT15 has two channels, clean and dirty or not........? You think he'll use his signature amp for his own shows? Wasn't that the intention? Had I spent a couple of years crafting my signature amp, it would be quite irrational to use something else live. A 15 watt amp really wouldn't ...

Nope. Pre-order done and no way to listen to this god-damned song in the UK.

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

FINALLY! This is Myles Kennedy doing what he does best. The voice, the emotion, tasteful guitar. Still a bit modern production-wise for me but what a beautiful song from the master. Why the hell did he not release the last solo album if this is the kind of stuff on it? No nasal vocals, beautiful det...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

I actually, for once! Like the mix and the sound of the 3 songs. I think it sounds great and very clear to my ears. Not overproduced nor underproduced If i may say. For once because I only liked Fortress production among all alter bridge’s records. World on fire sounded killer too though. But all t...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

The main thing that has slightly disappointed me is that it's not quite as stripped back or authentic a blues/jazz sound as I was expecting. I was hoping for a roomy, warm and natural sound with less in the way of overdubs or studio meddling. Perhaps I was hoping for some slower and more mournful st...

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

With my Marshall it's more the distortion tones that suffer (I like some breakup on the clean so it's no bother for me). After a while that nice 'front of the note' twang or response just gets mushy and starts to disappear. I'd certainly love to try an MT15 and might even buy one but I'm sceptical t...

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear

Contrary to my previous statement, 15 watts is juuuuuusttt a little small. I've been gigging with 20 watts Marshall Silver Jubilee and whilst the volume is definitely there, it starts to lose a little definition as it gets hot. 100 watts is insane, I bought a 100 watt Mesa Stiletto recently and the ...

Got this back in the spring. It's the tremonti baritone hybrid model. Enjoying it so far! https://s2.postimg.org/6y3smzod5/20170610_155855.jpg https://s2.postimg.org/syk54220p/20170610_155914.jpg You bastid! That is one hell of a guitar. That neck is something else. Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

That doesn't sound auto-tuned at all. The vocal tracking seems to be very much untouched in general. Not even any reverb or delay, let alone autotune. I like it a lot. The double-bass is a nice touch. It sounds very much like an intro to a great album. Nice natural sound to it and some lovely instru...

Re: Performance Videos

Awesome idea for a thread. I've always liked listening to your stuff TenaciousBe. Takes guts to do acoustic stuff, you're quite exposed on your own and without a loud amplifier to cover your tracks. Hey, thanks man! I think I've done better with the acoustic stuff than anything I ever did electric....

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

try contacting the RAH?! I'm not looking to be compensated. It just sucks :lol I was there and the first time I'll hear the first half of the set is when the DVD comes out! :rolleyes I'm with you Crumbso! I feel I only half-heard what was happening. Could barely hear Mark at some points. Whereabout...
