Re: What are you listening to right now?
Megadeth's 2004 remix of their Rust In Peace album. Never really was big into Megadeth before but something about this albums riffs and solos are really grabbing me right now. My only complaint is that "Rust In Peace...Polaris" doesnt have an amazing solo like most of the other songs. It'...

On a bit of a latter-day Van Halen kick right now. Damn they were so great:

Re: What grinds your gears?
What grinds my gears? I've managed to gain back about 50 pounds over the past couple years, after having been down to nearly 200 for the first time in my adult life. That 200 was a bit of an outlier as I don't really know how I lost that weight (happened around 2019-20), but since it's come back, e...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
After a lot of thinking, I have concluded that my original music is the most similar to these 12 bands. 1. Volbeat 2. Alter Bridge 3. Halestorm 4. Tremonti 5. Plush 6. Mammoth WVH 7. Paralandra 8. Sum 41 9. All Time Low 10. Mason Hill 11. The Warning 12. blink-182 What demographics should I be pitc...

Good lord. This is going back to the 2004-2007 eras but I remember (can't put a proper date on them though):

Re: Tremonti - Episode VI: Dusty Marching Machines
He's also playing a PRS with a double cutaway.... I've also seen comments about that on Facebook which seemed negative to me. Why is that a problem? I don't see it as a problem; it's just surprising. People seriously would dump on him playing a very slightly different shaped guitar? :lol The intern...

This is a real Saturday night melancholy whiskey and low lights song. Beautiful:

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear
Bad Cat makes some really underrated stuff (at least in the US I don’t see many around). That’s a nice grab. They're even more rare in the UK. I almost never see them. This was still boxed and about 60% discount from the brand new price so I had to grab it. I got to use it for about 20 mins yesterd...

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear
NAP: I got a ludicrously good deal on a Bad Cat Lynx. So it's now sitting proudly at home. I really need to get this in the rehearsal room and let it rip.

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread
What is it always with Mark's guitar sound? There is literally no pro shot of Metalingus on this planet where his guitar sounds bearable. On a side note, I like how Flip has more screentime than Mark in that video. Even though Myles does not play guitar in this song, he's always mixed louder and pa...

When people don't even see my texts for hours and hours. Can't you spare one minute to check your notifications and type a short message to me back? A) they're busy so they cant text back during that time period B) they saw it and forgot to respond when they got distracted by other things in their ...

Open Your Eyes is playing in my head right now, but instead of the original version, it sounds like what the song would have sounded like if Elvis produced it. This I can't imagine sounding right. I love the production of ODR. By far the best Myles was ever recorded and the sound is so enveloping.

Anybody here uses Line 6 POD Go? Just got myself one yesterday to be able to rehearse with my band cause I needed a proper multi-effect pedal for all the tone switching with banks assigned for each song and I'm loving it! It's got far more stuff in it that I would ever need but features like built-...

Re: Video Game Bonanza!
I started with Dark Souls 3 first around 2017-ish if I recall. The different ways to level your character confused me at first too. Had a friend who had played through the game already and explained the difference between leveling different stats to focus on different builds, and once I got the han...

Re: Video Game Bonanza!
As a huge Soulsborne fan it took me ages to finish Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice after playing it on and off for several months, but I recently defeated the final boss on that one. I enjoy playing their games that have multiple character build options so being more limited to just using a katana was di...
